So, with Sri Lanka bringing up their 5th win in the last 32 games, they've blown this contest wide open. Now, it's a matter of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe edging each other out against the hosts in the next two games. As of now, this is Rishi Roy taking your leave on behalf of my colleagues Sriram AS and Pradeep Krishnamurthy. It has been a pleasure bringing you the action and do join us for the remaining games in the series. For now, it is sayonara from us!
Thisara Perera, Man of the Match, for his all-round performance: First of all, really proud of my all-round performance. The bowlers did really well on this wicket including me (chuckles). This is a relay baton and we need to bowl well from both ends. Pradeep had an injury too, but he battled through it. I am a hard-hitting batsman, that's my natural game, and without that I cannot survive in international cricket (when asked about his explosive innings with the bat to close out the game).
Dinesh Chandimal, Sri Lanka Captain: Really happy about the game. The bowlers did their job really well. We had a few good partnerships and Thisara batted well in the end. Once you get a start in the top-four, you need to bat long. As a batting unit, we musn't put pressure on the lower-order. We have a few days to prepare for the next game. Zimbabwe have done well against us in the past but we need to play to our strengths and our capabilities and hopefully we can carry on from here.
Graeme Cremer, Zimbabwe captain: Yeah, the wicket looked exactly the same, but played a lot different. We were probably 30-odd runs off which made the difference. We need the top-four to click. Brendan played well but it's a pity he got out when he did. It's all about batting till the 45th over and letting the rest of the guys bat around him. It is a tough wicket to bat on. The seamers were good today, maybe a little bit off the length. But the way Chandi (Chandimal) batted today, he just took the game away from us. The next game against Bangladesh is crucial and we'll come out with intent for that one..
Gurudev: Are Zimbabwe safe if they lose this one. -- This blows the contest wide open. Both SL and Zimbabwe very much alive...
So, Sri Lanka keep their hopes alive and have joined Zimbabwe with four points. It now boils down to who can beat Bangladesh in their last game or who loses less badly. At 145/5, the Lankans had played themselves into a corner, but Thisara, who has been their lone saving grace so far came up with a fine cameo. Dinesh Chandimal looked less fluent, but fought hard and didn't throw his wicket away. The early damage was done by Kusal Perera (49) and Kusal Mendis (36), but they once again they nearly threw it away - thanks to a three-wicket burst from Blessing Muzarabani. To their credit, Zimbabwe kept fighting along, took the game to as deep as they could, they will be disappointed with their batting effort, but have quite a few plus points over the way they bowled and fielded. Presentations up in a while..
Chatara to Perera, SIX, all-over, Sri Lanka secure their first win of the tournament. Smiles amongst the two batsmen as they embrace into a warm hug. Chandimal pumps his fists in delight, so does Thisara. Coming to the ball, this was short and on the stumps, Thisara swivels across and deposits it high and into the top tier of the deep backward square leg boundary
Chatara to Perera, no run, short of a length and following Thisara as he backed away, mistimed drive towards mid-on
Chatara to Chandimal, 1 run, short and wide of off, cracked away square on the off-side for a single
Chatara to Chandimal, no run, short of a length and well outside off, slapped straight to the fielder at backward point
Chatara to Chandimal, no run, on a good length and just outside off, defended towards the off-side

Cremer to Perera, 2 runs, Cremer drops this one short and wide of off, slapped towards cover where the fielder fumbles and allows a couple of runs
Cremer to Chandimal, 1 run, pushed through flatter and wider of off, slapped square on the off-side for a single
Cremer to Perera, 1 run, Thisara gets away with one! This was the loopy leg-break from Cremer, invited Thisara into a big shot, he was looking to slog it over mid-wicket, played against the turn, went low off the bat, high and towards mid-on. Waller ran in from long-on, but the ball dropped well in front of him
Cremer to Chandimal, 1 run, the leg-break from Cremer, Chandimal plays with the turn and punches it to long-off
Cremer to Chandimal, no run, flighted on off, Chandimal gets half-forward and defends it back at the bowler
Cremer to Perera, 1 run, tossed up just outside off, punched down towards long-off for a single

Chatara to Perera, 1 run, short of a length and well outside off, smashed away off the back-foot, but straight to the fielder at deep cover
Chatara to Perera, SIX, that's easy pickings for Thisara, too short and too slow from Chatara, Thisara swivels across and swats it over deep mid-wicket, went a long way into the stands
Chatara to Perera, no run, on a good length and just outside off, driven straight to the fielder at mid-off
Chatara to Perera, wide, banged in short and on the stumps, it sails way over Thisara and is called as a wide
