Australia won by 41 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Adam Zampa

Started at the WACA, and ended at the Adelaide Oval. The start wasn't ideal, but the finish certainly was. Australia's summer comes to an end. It has been a tough one for them. Revamp of Test squad, some youngsters stepping up, Trans-Tasman thrills, the BBL blitz, and the sorry Sri Lankan series. Kinda roller-coaster ride. And for us too, covering all the highs and lows. Zampa who produced the best spell of the series won't be in India tomorrow. Mitchell Swepson, who impressed in the BBL is mastering his leggies in Pune and is likely to make his debut. It's gonna be one heck of a series. The Indian summer is all set to unfold. Don't miss out. Thanks and goodbye from the team: Raju Peethala, Sriram, Krishna and Abhinand Raghavendran.
Tharanga has been handed over the trophy. And now comes the moment, a moment that some of these boys will cherish for years to come. Lot of hooting and whistling as they pose for the cameras....
Tharanga: Beating Australia in Australia is a tough thing to do. Guys did really well to win the series. He (Gunaratne) has been playing really well from the South Africa series. Played a brilliant knock in the last game. It was a very good opportunity for the youngsters and I'm pleased how they improved over the last couple of months. All in all, it has been a brilliant effort from the boys to win the series.
Finchy: I thought we played fantastic cricket tonight. Felt good, it was a nice wicket and when you got Klinger at the other end, it gives you the freedom to play shots. We have been guilty of guys getting starts and not carrying on till the end, but I guess today we have put that right with a couple of fifties at the top.
Asela Gunaratne (Man of the series): It's the first time for me in Australia and I have enjoyed every bit of it. I was thinking to bat till the last ball (in the last game) and I'm glad I was there finishing the game for my country. Thanks to Dilshan Munaweera (The translator) for putting Gunaratne's emotions into words. Sigh!
Adam Zampa (Man of the Match): It's always nice to bowl in the middle overs and pick up wickets. Leg spinners have done well in the Big Bash and lot of them have come good. Sri Lanka have some fearless players and we saw their abilities in the first two games. Bit disappointed about our performance in the T20 format but hopefully we can win some in the future and improve our rankings.
22:45 Local time: Dilshan Munaweera superimposed himself into a Dickwella who missed this game due to suspension by the ICC. But, the rest were all in a hurry to take a flight back home. It has been nearly 3 months for some of them. Only Milinda Siriwardana offered a ray of hope, just a ray and that's about it. Australia's bowling has clicked as a unit, albeit for the first time in the series. Faulkner and Zampa shared 6 wickets between them with the latter producing the best spell of the series. Purely in terms of bowling leg spin and not going by figures. All in all, Australia end their summer on a high

Pat Cummins to Vikum Sanjaya, out Vikum Sanjaya Run Out!! 1 run completed. That's it, gone! Australia finally manage a win in T20Is at home. Must have felt like an age since the last time they won in this format of the game. But, the series go to Sri Lanka 2-1. Finishing touch: Cut away to deep backward point, Dunk gets there quickly and rifles it flat to Paine who ends Sri Lanka's vain with a whip off the bails. Vikum Sanjaya run out (Ben Dunk/Paine) 5(3) [4s-1]
Pat Cummins to Vikum Sanjaya, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!
Pat Cummins to Vikum Sanjaya, no run, nasty length ball at the batsman, too quick and too hot to handle for Vikum Sanjaya who takes a blow around his midriff. Ouch!
Pat Cummins to Vikum Sanjaya, FOUR, that has come right out off the screws, length ball outside off, Sanjaya bullies it through extra cover with a bat swing that can chop someone's head. Phewf! He hit that so hard that the umpires had to converge and offer some medication for the ball. Some scissoring work
Pat Cummins to Kulasekara, 1 run, flicked away through square leg
Vikum Sanjaya, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Pat Cummins to Malinga, out Malinga Run Out!! Captain runs Malinga OUT. Poor from Malinga, no intent on the shot, no intent in running either. Just jogs down to the other end - expecting the throw to miss the target - after tapping a full ball to mid-off. Finchy had ample time to aim and he hits the timbers spot on. Malinga run out (Finch) 1(3)
Pat Cummins to Malinga, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!
Pat Cummins to Malinga, no run, full, pacy, push-driven to mid-off
Pat Cummins [2.0-0-14-0] is back into the attack
48 from 18 balls. Malinga and Kula, both capable of hitting the long ball mind you!
