That is it from this T20 game. Australia have taken the lead and an unassailable lead of 3-0. The hosts were dominant again and have done well to come out trumps in this game. The defending world T20 champions look dominant and their depth in the squad looks good as well. Ta ta for now...
Kane Richardson, Man of the Match: Was nice to bounce back. Didn't have a great day last day, T20 cricket, you don't want to look at the result. I was a bit rusty. Just executing better lengths and Hazlewood showed us what to do from the last game. It is a hard team to get into. Good signs for this team. I am happy just happy to be around this group.
Aaron Finch: We are shuffling our guys to know the depth of our squad. Very good signs indeed. If we want to structure our sides with a particular combination, we need to try out a few players. We need 7 batters is what I personally think. The wickets haven't been really true. I have been waiting for the oppurtunity to get the width. Fantastic catch from Sams. We had him batting at number 8 as well. He (Richardson) is a world class bowler and showed his class today.
Dasun Shanaka: No positives today. Poor start from our boys and we were 20-30 runs short. I think we should bat well in the first 6 overs and not throw our wickets away.
22:23 Local Time, 11:23 GMT, 16:53 IST: Once the target was only 122, Australia knew they were on top. The chase had some mini hiccups but they did enough to get home. Theekshana provided a dream start for the visitors but the target was too less to defend. 122 was never going to be enough. Finch and Maxwell did stitch a partnership and that ensured Australia sailed smoothly despite both of them getting out before the target was scaled down. Their fielding was a little scratchy and the Lankans had themselves to blame as Australia chased it down with plenty of balls to spare.
Shanaka to Stoinis, FOUR, short ball, Stoinis pulls that and sends it over mid-wicket for a four. That was hit hard and went over the fielder as he tried to back track. The ball went over his head. Australia take the series 3-0
