Sri Lanka won by 215 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Roshen Silva

The trophy has been presented and Sri Lanka mill up for the photography session. What was supposed to be a five-day Test has ended in exactly half the time. After preparing a batting friendly track in Chittagong (and then being penalized for it), the hosts gambled on a spin friendly track in Mirpur, a decision that backfired on them completely, this meant that Sri Lanka have added the Test trophy to that of the previous win in the tri-nation tournament. Can they complete a hat-trick by clinching the T20I series as well? There are two Twenty20 internationals coming up, the first, which will be played at the same venue on February 15th. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Chandimal - It was a really good series. The first Test was a nightmare for the bowlers and this one was a nightmare for batsmen. We executed all our plans and credit goes to the entire team. We felt that this pitch could assist spinners, but we were a bit surprised at the way it played. Credit to Roshen Silva, he had an outstanding series. Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva batted well, our bowlers performed excellently, especially Akila Dananjaya - on his debut, the management also deserve some praise for all the backing.
Roshen Silva - I want to thank almighty God and Chandimal for winning the toss, he won it and the rest was history. It was a difficult wicket to bat on, but I didn't want that to rankle me, just wanted to keep calm and bat in a simple manner. Our late order batsmen never throw away their wickets, even small contributions are most valuable on these types of wickets. We knew any amount of runs would frustrate them. I hope to play like this for the rest of my career.
Roshen Silva is the Man of the Match and the Man of the Series as well
Mahmudullah - Feeling really disappointed, it was a result oriented pitch and our batsmen let us down. We should have been more careful with the choice of shots, on this wicket, first innings becomes crucial. Their bowlers were very good, always kept us under pressure. We let them off the hook at times. There are some positives though. Mominul was excellent, he played spin very well, we have to take this in our stride moving forward. On these type of wickets, batting last is difficult. There was some pressure, but we needed to show intent, else, we would have had no chance of chasing down 339.
A comprehensive victory for Sri Lanka. Fair to say, Bangladesh dug their own grave by opting for an overly spin friendly wicket. The visitors didn't need a second invitation, they won a big toss and although the batting didn't really match up, they made sure they had enough for their bowlers to come good. Roshen Silva was the star batsman, making half-centuries in both innings, gold dust considering the conditions. Lakmal started the slide in Bangladesh's first innings and then it was spin which did all the damage. It didn't help that the hosts were shockingly inept with the bat and the end result was a humiliating defeat. Yet another series win for the Lankans, they have been pretty decent in this format of the game, despite two series losses against India. They lost Mathews before the start of the first Test, but haven't put a foot wrong since then. Presentations in a while..
Herath to T Islam, out Caught by Gunathilaka!! Herath becomes the highest wicket-taker for any left-arm bowler, he's gone past Wasim Akram, who previously led with 414. Sheer joy as the visitors complete a thumping 215-run win over Bangladesh. Coming to the ball, it was tossed up nicely outside off, Taijul couldn't hold himself, went for the slog sweep, he connected it fairly well, but failed to place it well enough. Gunathilaka was the man at deep mid-wicket, he took a good overhead catch, made sure that he didn't step anywhere near the ropes, composed himself and turned around to join the celebrations. T Islam c Gunathilaka b Herath 6(8) [4s-1]
Herath to T Islam, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Wicket number 415 for Herath and Sri Lanka win
Herath to T Islam, FOUR, Taijul brings out the reverse sweep and the execution is perfect, bent down low, rolled his wrists and sweeps it behind square on the off-side
Herath to Mustafizur, byes, 1 run, very full and just outside off, Mustafizur swung hard and missed, so did Dickwella and the batsmen scamper across for a bye

Dananjaya to Mustafizur, FOUR, that's one way of playing the spinners, tossed up on the leg-stump line, Mustafizur clears his left leg and heaves it over mid-on, one bounce and over the ropes
Mustafizur Rahman, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Dananjaya to Mehidy Hasan, out Caught by Dickwella!! The previous blemish doesn't matter, Akila has got his man, 5-wickets on debut for the mystery spinner. This was tossed up just outside off, Mehidy was prodding forward in defence, he was playing for the turn, this one didn't, went straight on, caught the outside edge and Dickwella does the rest. Sri Lanka are just one wicket away. Mehidy Hasan c Dickwella b Dananjaya 7(6) [6s-1]
Dananjaya to Mehidy Hasan, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Dananjaya to Mehidy Hasan, no run, was that a chance? It flew off the inside edge as Mehidy prodded forward, went quick and low at the fielder under the helmet, it was Mendis, he dived forward, got both hands underneath but can't hold on
Dananjaya to Mehidy Hasan, SIX, Mehidy has had enough of all the prodding and blocking, comes down the track, doesn't get anywhere near the pitch of the ball, went through with the swipe, high and towards deep mid-wicket. Gunathilaka was a few yards in front of the ropes and the ball drops over his head
Dananjaya to T Islam, 1 run, flighted on the stumps, Taijul pushes it in front of mid-on and scampers across for a quick single
