It was a well fought series but in the end Nuwan Thushara was the difference. We now move onto the ODIs which start on Wednesday. Do join us for the first game. Until next time, goodbye and stay safe..
Wanindu Hasaranga: I watched the first two games from the dressing room, we played very well in all three games. In the day games I trust my skills and back myself. It was his first game in the series and he bowled really well. Our bowling attack was too good for them. This is our last series before the WC and we can take a lot of confidence from this.
Kusal Mendis | Player of the Series: The wicket was two-paced early on, some balls were coming on and some were not. After six overs the ball was coming on nicely. There was no pressure, I played my own game, took my time and they scored the boundaries. The batters and bowlers did well throughout the series. I am very happy with the series win.
Nuwan Thushara | Player of the Match: (translated from Sinhalese by the assistant coach) He's happy with his rhythm and to make an impact on the game. It is the first time he's taken a hat-trick and he's happy to do it for the country and win the game.
Najmul Shanto: The way they started, they batted brilliantly but we came back nicely to restrict them to 174. Credit goes to Nuwan, he bowled brilliantly but we have to look back on how we play the first six overs. We played some good cricket in all three matches, happy for Rishad. We can take a lot of confidence from this series but ODIs is a different format, we are looking forward to it.
18:37 Local Time, 12:37 GMT, 18:07 IST: Bangladesh fought back bravely but the damage done in the fourth over was too big. Litton departed early to DDS but it was Nuwan Thushara's first over that cost them the match. The slingy pacer replacing an injured Pathirana knocked over the top-order with a hat-trick. He picked up another in his second over and Bangladesh had slipped to 24/5. Rishad and Mahedi steadied the ship before the former went berserk. He kept dealing in sixes and notched up his maiden T20I fifty, Taskin joined him and there was a thought that the duo might pull off the unthinkable, but Theekshana sent back Rishad in the 17th over and sealed the game. Thushara returned for his last over to complete his 5-fer and win the series for Sri Lanka.
Shanaka to Taskin Ahmed, out Caught by Dhananjaya!! Sri Lanka win by 28 runs. DDS does the relay catch to end proceedings. Back of a length delivery, Taskin manages to get under and smash it towards long-on, the ball seemed to be sailing over but DDS times his jump and holds on, the momentum was taking him over the rope, so he throws the ball up goes beyond the rope and comes back in to complete the catch. Taskin Ahmed c Dhananjaya b Shanaka 31(21) [4s-3 6s-2]
Shanaka to Taskin Ahmed, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Binura Fernando to Mustafizur, SIX, even Mustafizur joins the six hitting party. Slow, short and outside off, he had the room and he makes the most of it, slaps it flat and well over extra cover
Binura Fernando to Mustafizur, no run, no pace on offer, Mustafizur swings for the stands and connects with nothing
Binura Fernando to Taskin Ahmed, 1 run, off-pace delivery outside off, Taskin is early into his heave and toe-ends it wide of cover

Binura Fernando to Taskin Ahmed, 1 run, dragged off the inside edge towards square leg and Taskin is happy to take the single
Binura Fernando to Taskin Ahmed, 2 runs, dropped! Tough chance and don't think Asalanka even got a hand to it. Slower ball outside off, Taskin goes for the big slog and gets a top-edge towards deep mid-wicket, Asalanka calls for it before twirling and twisting, he puts in the dive as the ball swirls away from him and does not even get a finger on it
Binura Fernando [3.0-0-28-0] is back into the attack
