So, that's it from us for this game. Sri Lanka were perhaps 30-40 short on what was a good batting wicket. With the dew coming in early in the second half. the toss will play a crucial role in this series. Join us for the second ODI day after tomorrow from the same venue itself. Till then, goodbye and cheers!

Najmul Hossain Shanto | Player of the Match: We know that with the new ball, it's quite hard so I back my skill and take my time, later on the ball came well due to the dew. I believe in all the bowlers, the way Taskin and Shoriful came back today was great. The experience of Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur helps us a lot, Mushfiqur played well and I hope he will continue his form.

Kusal Mendis | Sri Lanka captain: Pathum and Avishka played well in the first 10 overs. The middle-order struggled and that's why we couldn't put a good score on the board. 280-plus would have been a good score, the dew came in after the 20th over. We bowled well initially but the dew came in and it became difficult to control the ball later.

22:20 Local Time, 16:20 GMT, 21:50 IST: Quite a convincing victory for Bangladesh! Perhaps, the decision to win the toss and bat first wasn’t a wise one and it certainly backfired on Sri Lanka. The Bangladeshi pacers made good use of the assistance that was available on the surface and shared 9 wickets amongst them. Bangladesh's fielding was top notch as well. 255 was below-par on a decent batting surface but Madushanka had other ideas. He got rid of Litton Das with a beauty as he started off with a wicket-maiden. He then got rid of Soumya Sarkar in his next over with a short ball. Soon after, Madushan knocked Hridoy over with an in-angler. Bangladesh were stuttering at 23/3 but Shanto and Mahmudullah steadied the ship for them. The duo stitched 69 for the fourth wicket. The latter fell to the short ball ploy courtesy, Kumara and that provided another opening for the visitors. But, the experience of Mushfiqur came into play and he provided able support to his skipper. The dew massively helped Bangladesh’s cause as the opposition bowlers found it difficult to control the wet ball. Both of them played some elegant shots and took the game away from Sri Lanka. Shanto scored a brilliant century while Rahim went past his fifty. The experienced duo put together an unbeaten 165-run partnership and took their side home with consummate ease. Stick around for the presentations...
