The winning trophy which is eerily similar to the one presented to the men's champion at Wimbledon is given to DdS and the entire Sri Lankan team pose with it. No trolling or any sort of response to what Rahim did when Bangladesh won the ODI series. Just Sri Lanka smiling and enjoying the win, as well as posing for the cameras. Bit anti-climactic that but that's how it panned out. So the complete tour comes to an end. On that note , that's a wrap from this side. We had a great time bringing this to you. Cheers!

Dhananjaya de Silva | Sri Lanka captain: Our bowlers stuck to the basics and the batters did well as well. They were disappointed that they did not get runs in the first Test but they are experienced and it's good that we have players like that. I have played previously here, I was thinking about reverse swing for the pacers. We will play abroad in England and South Africa and I have full faith in my pacers.

Kamindu Mendis | Player of the Match and the Series: It was me who told him to look for the run and every time Asitha met me after that, he said sorry. In the last few months, I was working with my spin coach on my bowling. When I change to right-arm I have to tell the umpires, today I was very confident with my right-arm so went with that. In that first game, it was hard and credit goes to my skipper who got two hundreds.

Najmul Hossain Shanto | Bangladesh captain: We did not play well, the bowlers showed a lot of character on a wicket like this but the batters did not bat well. Everyone got set but did not make a big score, we have to think about that, make sure that the ones who get set go big. As a player we have to prepare ourselves for any situation, but if we play more first-class cricket it will help us. The way Hasan Mahmud came and bowled in his first game, he bowled really well, Shakib bhai the way he batted and bowled, Miraz the way he batted in the 2nd innings, so a few positives.

Takeaways from the series: DdS as a young skipper performed the role in a creditable manner. Kamindu Mendis as a middle-order batter has the potential to do really well. He can roll his arm over in an effective manner as well. The Lankan top-order needs some polishing. Same applies for the Bangladesh top-order as well. Hasan Mahmud is a bright prospect for Bangladesh. And Bangladesh should use him judiciously. And finally this rivalry between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is here to stay!

Credit to Sri Lanka for having won the critical phases in both the Tests. They suffered batting collapses in the first Test. But twin tons from DdS and Kamindu Mendis in both essays helped them overcome the challenge thrown at them by the hosts. Bangladesh bowlers were insipid and failed to deliver the goods in both Tests. The second Test though did saw Hasan Mahmud bowling his heart out in both the innings. He bowled with purpose and extracted whatever little was there on the deck. But none of the Bangladeshi batters scored a ton in the 2-match series and that went against them. Coming to the second Test, the toss played a crucial part and it was Lanka who called it right and then executed it brilliantly. None of their batters got a hundred in the first innings but a combined batting effort took them to 531. That is where they killed off the game. Similarly, in the first Test SL were 57 for 5 but the hundreds from DdS and Kamindu Mendis helped them recover. Again they faltered in the second jig on the first Test but once more DdS and Kamindu came to party. These crucial moments helped SL clinch the Test series. The T20Is were won by SL and now they have won the Test series as well. The ODIs went to the hosts. The little rivalry between the two sides did give us some very interesting moments!

11:18 Local Time, 05:18 GMT, 10:48 IST: Bangladesh have been beaten lock, stock and barrel. They just weren't good enough. Sri Lanka with their first innings display almost out-batted the hosts with a score of more than 500. Bangladesh in return folded up for a paltry score. From then on, they were well behind the 8-ball and kept chasing the game. Sri Lanka were not convincing with the bat in the second dig but the hefty lead allowed them that cushion. They set a target of 511. Bangladesh put up their best show with the bat but that also fell well short of the target. But they fought hard on day 4 and even on day 5 where Mehidy led the batting efforts and kept out Lanka at bay for more than an hour with the tail for company. But eventually, Bangladesh lost by 192 runs. Stay tuned for the presentation...
