The one refereshing thing about this limited overs series so far has been the white Kookaburra new ball has swung considerably than the last 3-4 years in England. If it's just about a batch or if it's a certain way the ball was made, please... we beg you, please only get us such balls. Have some mercy on the bowlers. Sri Lanka will need some mercy from England too. Naah, they would just want to come out hard and better on Sunday to close out the series on a high. Definitely were better with the bat bar that collapse. We will see how they shape up for the third ODI. Morgan has confirmed his XI will see changes. We will catch up on Sunday, but do hop tabs to catch the action of an exciting T20I between West Indies and South Africa. Tata!

With this defeat, Sri Lanka have gone past India for most number of losses (428) in ODIs.

Sam Curran | Player of the Match: Really special in front of fans as well. Awesome atmosphere. The ball swung quite consistently in the T20s too. I don't know what changed, I haven't done anything different (smiles). The more I play, the more I fail, I keep learning. The team bowled really well.

Eoin Morgan: Delighted to score runs and make contribution to a series win. Left-arm seamers swung the ball and started so well. The wicket then slowed down. Roy, Bairstow at the top and Root batting at 3.. Good day all along. Not thinking about your batting as a captain seems to be working for me. We will see more changes in the final ODI with an eye on the Pakistani series as well. Always looking to grow and get better.

Kusal Perera: Very hard for the lower order to get many once the top order fails that way. Dhananjaya played very well. We want to finish on a winning note.

20:30 Local Time, 19:30 GMT, 01:00 IST: England get the series 2-0 with a game to go. But we all knew the result of this game with how things have panned out for Sri Lanka on this tour. 242 hunted down without breaking a sweat. Sri Lanka fought late with the bat and that's the only thing they would want to focus on looking back at this game. Roy and Bairstow were obviously going to enjoy a good start on a good batting surface such as this. Roy was changing gears and perished in the process. Root then came in and quietly nudged the ball around at a brisk pace and got his fifty. Morgan spent some quality time in the middle to get an unbeaten 75 against his name. So the England top order making light work of this modest total after Sam Curran's fifer and David Willey's 4-fer. Who said cricket is a tough game?

Binura Fernando to Morgan, FOUR, controlled pull shot to this short delivery, man at deep backward square leg dives to the left but doesn't do enough to stop the boundary. Hits the arm and escapes to the boundary

42.5

Binura Fernando to Morgan, no run, oh that's hurt Morgan's left hand. it's rolling back onto the stumps and he's unaware. Very lucky that the ball didn't hit the stumps. Nice short delivery, surprised Morgan, looks like it hit him on the thumb. Morgan didn't know where the ball was. He was outside the crease and couldn't stop the ball with the bat too

Binura Fernando to Root, 1 run, good length delivery, Root knocks it to deep square leg
