Morgan collects the trophy and poses for the cameras with a grin on his face. He'll be a happy captain as England are going from strength to strength. They were barely tested in all the games and would be hoping for a better challenge from Pakistan, who are their next opponent. As skipper Kusal Perera said, It was a tough tour for the young Sri Lankan unit. Lots of learnings, lots of areas to address and lots of bruised egos as they head back home empty-handed. Not much time to recover either because they'll be hosting the Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian team for the limited-overs series which is due to start in less than 10 days. That's it from us here. Goodbye and see you all later!

Eoin Morgan: We were dominant today, and we are delighted as we were ruthless. That has been the trend in the T20Is and ODIs, the guys haven't taken things for granted. The guys were willing to show character and fight at Cardiff too. As a team we don't want to stand still and Willey has continued to add to his game. It was unfortunate for him to not be a part of the World Cup 2019 squad. He (Tom Curran) has bowled really well, but he was very unlucky in the last game. Today he managed to take four wickets. In the last two games he has nailed his lengths and taken advantage. We are in a privileged position with the talent in our side. We need to focus on our death bowling and certainly need to be more consistent in the middle overs. Those are the two areas we need to improve on before the World Cup. Pakistan are really competitive, so we need to improve our game against them. It's always good to have selection headaches. Those two guys (Stokes and Buttler) are all format players. At the moment we are spoilt for choices.

Kusal Perera: It's a tough tour for us. We performed well in patches but it wasn't enough. We need to concentrate on our batting. The boys have to trust their ability and need to express themselves and that's the only way to move forward. Lot of positives for us but we need to be consistent.

David Willey, Player of the Series: I think the white balls this year have swung a lot more, even in domestic cricket. I am pretty realistic, I'm here because of few injuries, but it's great to be back involved with the team. I have enjoyed every game with England, it's very special.

16:20 Local Time, 15:20 GMT, 20:50 IST: Match called off. The weather gods showing some mercy on Sri Lanka as the rain has the final say here in Bristol. They were put to bat under bowling-friendly conditions by England and the same ol' script followed with their top order being blown away inside the first 10 overs. After an inspiring new-ball spell by the two W's in Woakes and Willey, Tom Curran, who went wicketless in the last ODI came to the party and tormented the batters through his box of tricks, eventually finishing with a four-wicket haul. Shanaka waged a lone battle and dragged Sri Lanka to 166 before the heavens opened up to perhaps save the day for the Lankans from a 0-3 scoreline (?).

16:05 Local Time, 15:05 GMT, 20:35 IST: Rob has an ominous update from the County Ground: "Happy to be proved wrong but could well be it for the day in Bristol. Rain is heavy and looks set in. Already standing water on the outfield."

15:51 Local Time, 14:51 GMT, 20:21 IST: We have entered the territory of losing the overs now. For a 20-over contest, play must begin by 18:00 local. But the radar isn't promising..

Sourav: Really very sad decline for Sri Lanka cricket..

15:20 Local Time, 14:20 GMT, 19:50 IST: We should've gotten back by now, but it's started to rain again in Bristol. Our correspondent Rob Johnston has posted a picture which suggests that things aren't looking great at the moment.

14:53 Local Time, 13:53 GMT, 19:23 IST: Yet another disappointing performance by Sri Lanka who have been bundled out for yet another low score, in fact their lowest total of this ODI series. They came out with a positive intent earlier in the day as Avishka Fernando looked aggressive in the opening overs, however, it was the same old story once they lost their first wicket. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and their innings was deprived of any sort of momentum. Chris Woakes and David Willey did the damage with the new ball and later it was Tom Curran who chipped in with four wickets to derail the opposition. Dasun Shanaka was the top scorer for Sri Lanka, but don't think his effort is going to be enough with most of the England batsmen in top form. Join us back in 30 minutes for England's reply.

Sam Curran to Shanaka, out Asitha Fernando Run Out!! That's a disaster of an end to Sri Lanka's innings, sums up their day, sums up their tour actually. Shanaka clips this length delivery towards deep mid-wicket and calls for two. A massive miscommunication between the batsmen as both of them are stranded at the bowler's end. Billings fires the throw at Sam Curran, who then parries the ball towards Bairstow as the keeper completes the formalities to bring a closure to the innings. 1 run completed. Asitha Fernando run out (Billings/Sam Curran/Bairstow) 0(5)

Sam Curran to Shanaka, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

Adil Rashid to Shanaka, SIX, that's a clean strike by Shanaka! This is what he's capable of doing. A short ball by Adil Rashid and the right hander rocks back and clubs it over long-on for half-a-dozen. Six from the moment he struck that. Just a boundary away from a pivotal fifty as the ball appears to have lost somewhere in the stands

40.3

Adil Rashid to Shanaka, no run, pushed through outside off and Shanaka has eased this through cover once again

40.2

Adil Rashid to Shanaka, no run, short and wide outside off, Shanaka slaps it to deep cover, but doesn't opt for the single

Sam Curran to Shanaka, 1 run, risky single taken as Shanaka taps this length delivery in front of point and calls his partner for a single. Had the fielder nailed a direct-hit at the keeper's end, Asitha was gone! More importantly, Shanaka is back on strike
