It's one heck of a giant killing we've seen here. It's not everyday that you get to witness this level of humbling. But then, it's Pakistan, and as has been the case with them for decades, you just never know. Ever. That's all we have for you from here, as I, Vineet Anantharaman, sign off on behalf of Nikhil Jadhav and our scorer, Praveen. Until hopefully some more fight than tonight, ta ta!!
Dasun Shanaka | Winning skipper: It's a great achievement without our top guns to beat them here. Our openers did a tremendous job for us. We had belief that once all the boys perform we'll win games. The credit must go to the openers and to our debutant Rajapaksa. Also the way our bowlers started was great.
Sarfaraz Ahmed | Losing skipper: In T20s we can't take any team lightly. They had a good start but our bowlers brought us back well. Credit to them, they kept it tight with the ball and in the field in the middle overs. We had six new boys in the team today, and we wanted to give people coming in from the PSL and the domestic circuit a chance. We didn't have a good day with the ball, but at one stage it looked like they would get to 170-180 and Hasnain brought us back well. God willing, we'll do well in the next game. [Loose Urdu translation]
Danushka Gunathilaka | MoM: It was a great win. We did very well in the ODIs as well and got a lot of confidence in the last game. As a team we did really well. We had a plan before the match to get a good start. Avishka batted really well with me and it was a good batting performance to get to 165. As a team, we haven't played many games. We had two debutants and when we play more we can win a lot of games.
Make sense of this -- 37 balls | 33 runs | 7 wickets. But as much as we'd want to belive this to be one of those typically Pakistani suicides, let's not take credit away from the Sri Lankans. Rajitha, Pradeep and Udana mixed it up well and kept it accurate, but it was the two wrist spinners in the middle overs who kept things really right and asked many questions despite being dealt with a very wet ball under this Lahore dew. Here come the presentations ..
21:56 Local Time, 16:56 GMT, 22:26 IST: A 64-run spanking does sound comprehensive. This one wasn't even a contest. The Sri Lankan bowlers refused to allow to make it one. Don't forget, Pakistan would've gone back into the dressing room at the break with momentum firmly under their belt, having restricted the Lankans to 165 from a seeming 180+. But Pakistan's powerplay more or less sealed it. Their linchpin, Babar, fell cheaply. His cousin, Umar Akmal, ensured his 1103-day-long T20I comeback lasted all of one ball. His other partner on comeback, Shehzad scratched around rather uncomfortably, not for long though. The two Ahmeds - Sarfaraz and Iftikhar - tried to rebuild, but once some running confusion kicked in with both of them stranded at one end, it was a free flowing slide.
Udana to Amir, out Caught by Gunathilaka!! There's the upset, officially. A number eight, a B side, and a humbling of the number ones at home. Udana's a specialist here, keeping it full off a slower pace, and Amir's attempted shovelling scoop downtown will end up at long-off. Amir c Gunathilaka b Udana 1(2)
Udana to Amir, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Mohammad Hasnain, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Udana to Shadab Khan, out Caught by Avishka Fernando!! It's a massive boundary out there at deep mid-wicket, and it feels so much more bigger when you have to drag it from outside off, against the angle and with Udana giving absolutely no pace to work around with. So this one's short, off the back of his hand, and nipping away still. Shadab shuffles, walking as he heaves, and everything in the air is now finding waiting fielders - this one deep mid-wicket. Shadab Khan c Avishka Fernando b Udana 6(7) [4s-1]
Udana to Shadab Khan, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Udana to Shadab Khan, no run, wide yorker. Shadab will jam it out alright, and a jam out is all it is
Udana to Amir, 1 run, jumps away, which Udana follows with an in-nipper. An adjusted punch in the end, extra cover
Isuru Udana [2.0-0-10-1] is back into the attack

Pradeep to Shadab Khan, FOUR, lines the low full toss perfectly, staying deep in his crease and crouching to get under it in lofting it over mid-off
Pradeep to Shadab Khan, no run, near chop on. Shadab tries to cross-bat one across the line, and the under-edge so very nearly trickles onto his stumps
Mohammad Amir, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Pradeep to Faheem Ashraf, out Caught by Gunathilaka!! And when Pakistan crumble, they crumble horribly. Ashraf ain't pulling off some redemption, finding a leg-lined full toss to get out to. He tries to flick uppishly, and couldn't have picked out deep square leg any better. Faheem Ashraf c Gunathilaka b Pradeep 8(8) [4s-1]
Pradeep to Faheem Ashraf, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Pradeep to Shadab Khan, 1 run, yorker again. Shadab manages to squeeze it behind point
