That's a wrap to tonight's coverage of this series. Sensational comeback by the young Lankan outfit after being swept away in the ODIs. They now have pocketed the series with a game to spare. The final game of the tour might be a dead rubber but what better than effecting a clean sweep over the no.1 T20I side in their den? So, expect Sri Lanka to maintain the intensity. As for Pakistan, they must be stinging right now and will hope to salvage some pride in the next game. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. We surely enjoyed bringing this game to you. On that note, this is Hari Sadanandan signing off on behalf of my mates Akshay Maanay, Sriram AS and Venky. Goodnight and take care!

Shanaka, winning captain: We played some quality cricket and that's why we got these results. Rajapaksa played a masterclass innings. We had a plan and did well to stick to it. These youngsters should get more chances after this tour but there are senior players as well. It's upto the selectors.

Sarfaraz, losing captain: I don't think we played good cricket in both games in any of the departments. We will need to rethink about our bowling strategies and also be sharper on the field. A couple of key run out chances were missed. With the bat, we lost too many wickets in the first 10 overs and from there, it's always a tough ask. Boys are trying hard, so can't be too harsh on them, hopefully they'll learn from this. If we don't get wickets in the middle overs, it will hurt in the shorter formats. Rajapaksa and Jayasuriya played brilliantly. (On the recall of certain discarded players, indirectly mentioning Akmal and Shehzad) If you look at their domestic performances, they've been really well and deserved an opportunity.

Rajapaksa, Man of the Match: I don't think it's an easy task to come to Pakistan and beat the no.1 T20I side. But I got good encouragement from the coaching staff and support staff. It means a lot to me to contribute to beating the world's no.1 T20I side.

Signs of a dip? This is Pakistan's third successive T20I series loss. They had won 11 bilateral series on the trot prior to these defeats.

21:56 Local Time, 16:56 GMT, 22:26 IST: Lots of hugs around the Lankan players. A young squad under a rookie captain have done the impossible - beat the top ranked T20I side in their own den. 183 was always a stiff target and Pakistan needed a good Powerplay to make a fist of things. However, they lost early wickets and Hasaranga's triple strike in the same over all but sealed the game for the visitors. Imad and Asif did stitch a recovery stand, with the former in sublime touch but they were left with too much to do. Both succumbed eventually to the pressure and the rest just caved in. Sri Lanka's bowlers were superb for the second game running, outbowling their more fancied opponents with clear plans that were nicely executed. As for Pakistan, the new era under Misbah-ul-Haq hasn't begun well and some of the objectionable selections will now be on the firing line. To be honest, the hosts' bowling and fielding in the series has been well below-par and it's cost them dearly. By the way, this is Sri Lanka's first ever T20I series win over Pakistan.

Pradeep to Mohammad Hasnain, out Caught by Wanindu Hasaranga!! SL clinch a historic T20I series against the no.1 T20 side! Jubilation all around and this is a massive achievement, no doubt. Pradeep completes the formalities with a fuller ball that Hasnain mishits straight down the throat of long-on. Fittingly, Hasaranga takes the catch to seal the deal. Mohammad Hasnain c Wanindu Hasaranga b Pradeep 1(2)

Pradeep to Mohammad Hasnain, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

18.5

Pradeep to Amir, 1 run, length ball on leg stump, Amir backs away and heaves it away to deep square leg

18.4

Pradeep to Mohammad Hasnain, 1 run, very full and attacking the stumps, Hasnain heaves hard and ekes out an inside edge down to fine leg

Mohammad Hasnain, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Pradeep to Asif Ali, out Bowled!! Knocks him over! The Gaddafi crowd are starting to leave. The game is all but over now. The only glimmer of hope that remained was with Asif but he wasn't in his elements at all tonight. Gets undone by a Pradeep slower ball, tries to force it off the back foot but is beaten on the inside edge and sees the stumps disturbed. Sri Lanka have their hands around the trophy now. Asif Ali b Pradeep 29(27) [4s-3]

Pradeep to Asif Ali, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Equation: 38 needed off 10!

18.2

Pradeep to Asif Ali, no run, very full and angled into Asif who jams it down to long-on, denies the single

18.1

Pradeep to Asif Ali, no run, low full toss and Asif could have put this anywhere but ends up missing it. Probably swung too hard, off the pads to cover

Right, so it's 38 needed off 12 now. Need a series of sixes to get some interest but Asif Ali doesn't seem in rhythm so far.

Udana to Amir, no run, slower ball this time and Amir doesn't have the pace he had off the previous ball. Toe-ends the drive to extra cover

Udana to Amir, FOUR, shot! Amir can certainly bat but with such a huge asking rate, can he? Has started well with a scorching drive through the covers. Too full from Udana and it was dispatched well wide of sweeper

17.4

Udana to Asif Ali, leg byes, 1 run, opts for the premeditated paddle scoop again, does Asif but can't get bat on it. Off the pads towards short fine leg. Not happening for Pakistan tonight, I'm afraid
