This has been a hammering that South Africa have meted out to the Lankans. The players from South Africa pose for the Trophy and there are jubilant scenes out there. They will party hard into the night. On that good note this is Abhishek Chaudhary signing off on behalf of Pratyush Sinha and Sreenivas. Tada!!

Faf du Plessis: "Once again a complete performance. Started with Hash and JP, it was great to get runs on this wicket. And once again our bowlers were spectacular. Since day one, it was tough for the batters. It was a different wicket from what we had in Cape Town. Very proud how we have performed. KG and Vernon today were different class. Thank you everyone for coming out. We appreciate it."

Dean Elgar (Man of the Series): "I am very very happy. It was tough but it was the mental application that I could apply and do well. The most important thing is to focus on the next ball. What has happened has happened. Hopefully, this is the first of many more series awards to come."

Angelo Mathews: "Nothing much to say really has gone our way. Congratulations to South Africa. In all three matches we were not allowed to come back. We kept repeating the same mistakes. We know that we are not going to get slow and turning wickets in South Africa. Credit to them. Lahiru Kumara and Lakmal were brilliant. The batters could not contribute and you need runs on the board to win. The guys will learn as they keep going."

Olivier: "This last week has happened pretty quickly after being called up. I was quite nervous. I was very excited to play for my country. You want to improve as a youngster. I am just happy to do my job and contribute for my team."

Stephen Cook: "Everything is special about this performance. The guys are playing really well. Everyone has contributed over the past 7-8 months and it is showing in the results. Elgar has been fantastic to be as consistent as he has been in this series. He has left really well. The boys have been unrelenting in their lines and lengths."

Parnell to Lakmal, out Caught by Philander!! It is all over!! The pain ends for Lanka. Short delivery and the ball skied up in the air for the man at fine leg to perform the final rites. Lakmal has been going after these bumpers and does not shy again but this time found the hands of a fielder. RSA win the series 3-0. This one has been a mismatch of a game. South Africa were too hot too handle. They have outclassed and clean swept the Lankans in the most clinical manner ever. Lakmal c Philander b Parnell 31(26) [4s-6]

D Olivier to Pradeep, no run, jams it out into the off-side and Pradeep is happy that the over has ended

41.5

D Olivier to Pradeep, no run, if ever you wanted to know the definition of a light year. The distance between the bat and the ball on that occasion would define it. Looks to slog a delivery by backing away and misses it. By how much, you just don't want to know

D Olivier to Pradeep, no run, another short delivery and Pradeep is beaten outside off

D Olivier to Lahiru Kumara, out Caught by Stephen Cook!! The short delivery aimed for the throat and it ends up getting a wicket. That was banged in and Lahiru Kumara trying to duck under it, could not. It pinged the gloves, of course not spotted by the umpire, then hit the shoulder to land into the hands of the man at FSL. The bowlers continue to gun down batsman with short balls. Phew! Who wants to be a batsman? Lahiru Kumara c Stephen Cook b D Olivier 0(2)

D Olivier to Lahiru Kumara, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

RSA have gone up for a review..Kumara was given not out by the on-field umpire. It was a short delivery and Lahiru Kumara was trying to cocoon himself with a duck but the ball seemed to have gone off the glove, then onto the shoulder to be taken by the man at FSL. He is gone. Ultra Edge shows a spike.
