That's a wrap to the T20I series. Much more closer than one expected it to be. Eventually, it's the batting that let the Lankans down. West Indies will take this confidence into the ODI series that starts in a couple of days time. Do join us for that one. Until next time, it's goodbye from us. Cheers!

Fabian Allen | Player of the Match: I prepare myself for all kind of roles. The pitch was slow and helped me execute my plans. I back myself (with the bat) and I'm confident that I can win games for my team. I'm used to this in the CPL.

Sri Lanka only have themselves to blame. It was a deck where they could have gotten to 145-150 and then this game would have been totally different. Their batting simply lacked the intent, and their batting order was baffling to say the least. Then in the bowling, they lacked the temperament at crucial junctures. As for the Windies, they might have won the series but they do have issues to handle, especially dealing with quality spin on turning decks. Powerhitting is all fine but it needs to blend with strike-rotation as well. It's a skill they need to master with the T20 World Cup in India this year.

21:15 Local Time, 01:15 GMT, 06:45 IST: Phew! What a game! What drama! Eventually, it's that six-hitting ability of West Indies that's gotten them over the line. It's a boon to have, but nearly was the reason they self-destructed. 131 was clearly below-par and after a strong powerplay, they had no business letting this game get this close. But their struggles against spin once again got documented, and Chameera's brilliant spell further dented them at crucial junctures. When Powell and Bravo fell off successive balls, SL would have thought that they are on the victory march. Not to be. Holder held his nerve and it's that no-ball in the 18th over which opened the floodgates. From there, West Indies soared through Allen's sizzling cameo.

18.6

Dananjaya to Fabian Allen, SIX, Allen finishes it with a glory blow! What a game he's had! Excellent spell with the ball and an incredible cameo with the bat to seal the deal. Completes the formalities with a meaty slog over cow corner, was in the slot and he didn't miss out. West Indies win the series 2-1!

18.5

Dananjaya to Holder, 1 run, low full toss on middle and leg, whipped away down to long-on

18.4

Dananjaya to Fabian Allen, 1 run, flatter and shorter outside off, cut away off the back foot to sweeper cover

18.3

6

Dananjaya to Fabian Allen, SIX, Fabian Allen you champion! He's smashing his team to silverware here. Dananjaya clearly losing the plot under pressure, gifts a low full toss and Allen accepts the gift. Clobbers this over cow corner. Another one out of the ground Only formalities to be done here

18.2

Dananjaya to Fabian Allen, 2 runs, floated up on middle and leg, Allen looks to slog but gets a faint edge onto the pads, and this trickles away past short third man

18.1

6

Dananjaya to Fabian Allen, SIX, this is smashed out of the ground! Terrific blow from Allen but it's a rubbish ball from Dananjaya. Attempted leg break, too short and on leg stump, easy for Allen who swivel-pulls over square leg. Into the roof and out of the park

Akila Dananjaya [3.0-0-31-0] is back into the attack

Exactly 10 rpo needed now. Hasaranga and Sandakan bowled out, Akila has one left but who will bowl the other is the big question. And that over is what Holder is going to target. But that's going to be the 20th over, will he leave it that late? Let's see. Here's Akila for the penultimate over with Fabian Allen on strike.

17.3

Hasaranga to Holder, no ball, fuller and slower on off, lunges forward to defend towards cover. Hang on, Hasaranga has overstepped! Just what WI and Holder were wanting, a Free Hit coming up
