Two captains pose with the shared trophy. In these modern times of ultra-aggressive strokeplay, a drawn series with no wins for either team is a rarity. Of course, the series could have done with slightly better pitches as they were too slow to produce a result. But both teams fought hard, and the intensity was there till the very end, which made for compelling viewing. With this, we come to the end of Sri Lanka's tour of West Indies 2021. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, this is Hari Sadanandan signing off on behalf of my mates Akshay Maanay, Abhinand Raghavendran and Naga.

Suranga Lakmal | Player of the Series: I have been working really hard in the practise sessions and it's paying off. The surfaces did help a bit, the pitch for this game was flatter but I was trying to challenge the batsmen with accuracy.

Kraigg Brathwaite | Player of the Match: Very pleasing. As a leader of the team, you want to lead from the front. Happy to get those two scores. I wanted to keep it simple, made sure I had a solid plan and backed it 100%. I could change at times, I always play to the situation of the game. I am pretty confident that I could score at whatever rate I choose to. Very happy, it was a good pitch. Both Test matches, the bowlers worked really hard. I was pleased with how the guys never gave up. Batting wise, we are continuing to bat 90+ overs which is a positive for us. We would have liked to win, but I was very happy with the attitude we had and the discipline. Very happy with the fast bowlers' effort. We didn't give up, we need to keep going from strength to strength. For me, it's all about discipline. We have shown that in back-to-back series, we can be consistent. South Africa, potentially next series, they are a good team, we need to have different pans. We are heading in the right direction.

Dimuth Karunaratne: I think if you talk about the surface then it is difficult to take wickets. There was a bit of help on the first two days but it got flatter and flatter as the Test progressed. Both teams played well and put in a lot of hard work. I think we played well especially the bowlers they did all the work on this surface. We need to improve our batting and need partnerships going forward, those are our concerns. We lost our main spinner in the second innings and Dhananjaya did a good job. For me, the positives are Thirimanne's batting, Oshada too and Nissanka on how he handled the pressure. When you are playing Test cricket patience is the key and that is something to work on. They (West Indies) beat Bangladesh and have been dominating throughout the series and I wish them all the best.

Unlike the limited-overs leg where they were largely dominated, Sri Lanka gave a better account of themselves in the Tests. They were under the pump in the opening game but produced a sensational rearguard action to turn the tables, so much so that they were in a position to force a victory. They were behind in this match too but once again stood up to be counted in the fourth innings to prevent a defeat. Plenty of positives for them, most notable being young Pathum Nissanka who showed commendable grit and application in his debut series. As for the Windies, they'll be disappointed at not winning this series. They had their moments but couldn't capitalise. Plenty of positives for them too, with the Test side stringing some consistent performances in recent times.

After 10 days of hard-fought cricket that featured close to 5000 balls bowled, the two teams couldn't be separated. The weather interruptions yesterday and today, coupled with West Indies late declaration meant that a draw was always the most probable result today unless the Lankans hit the self-destruct button. A century opening stand set the tone for the visitors who lost just the two wickets through the entire fifth day. The top four all dug in, as the Windies struggled to threaten on a pitch that didn't quite deteriorate and remained decent to bat on. There was the occasional spells of reverse swing and also some spin on offer, but the utter slowness of the deck overpowered all that. Windies also lost Gabriel very early to injury. The ending today was similar to the climax of the first Test where the roles were reversed.

16:39 Local Time, 20:39 GMT, 02:09 IST: That's it then. Handshakes all around. There was an extra hour of play pending but with a result out of reach, West Indies have rightly given up. Match drawn, series ends level 0-0.
