Rangana Herath: "Not at all, first session it was difficult becuase we couldn't get any wickets in the first 15 overs or so. Nothing was happening off the pitch. We can't control the weather, so we stuck to our plans. I enjoyed every minute as a captain, and I was happy with the way I bowled."

Graeme Cremer - Man of the Match " Yeah definitely, we couldn't take it the last couple of overs. It was good for Test cricket to take it till the last session. Sri Lanka are a quality unit, I'm happy with the way I was timing the ball. They were bowling in good areas and it's one of those days."

Presentation in a while...

It was a brilliant day of Test match cricket. Sri Lanka had to cope plenty of criticism for not declaring post tea on day 4, but things did work out eventually as they closed the game with around 7 overs to spare. Zimbabwe lost 5 wickets in the first session and a solitary in the next. Post tea, the pendulum swung both ways as the hosts lost a couple of wickets which was followed by a gritty 9th wicket stand between Cremer and Mumba. When things looked dull and lull for Sri Lanka, captain Cremer had a brain-fade which implied the inevitable. However, one has to acknowledge Cremer's maturity as a player and captain in this game. He toiled hard with the lower middle order in the first innings, essayed his maiden ton, claimed a four-fer and nearly....very nearly pulled his team out of jail in the second innings. But Test cricket had the final say, you just cannot afford to lose your concentration. Just cannot

Dilruwan Perera to Mpofu, out Bowled!! Sri Lanka have knocked off the final wicket and go 1-0 in the series. Perera tosses it up on off and gets it skid through straight. Mpofu plays for the turn and misses the ball completely only to see his off-stump peg back. The visitors jump up in delight and the customary handshake by the two teams follow. Zimbabwe fought hard till the end but couldn't manage to draw the game, credit to them as well for showing character.. Mpofu b Dilruwan Perera 0(8)
