That brings an end to our coverage of the first Test. There were a few injuries during the course of the match for both teams, hence you can expect a few changes for the second Test. Will West Indies manage to level the series, or will Australia make it 2-0? All our questions will be answered next week. Batters dominated this Test, but with the pink ball in action, the bowlers will be looking forward to make an impact in Adelaide. Do join us for the coverage of the Pink-ball Test. For now, you can switch tabs and follow the live coverage of other international matches. Goodbye and take care!
Pat Cummins: I'm doing well, just have a tight quad. It's not too bad, I was about to bowl, but it didn't too close. It feels fine. The boys called it a jog (while fielding), I was happy with it, tried to be protective and hopefully I will be available for Adelaide. Keeping the fingers crossed for the next couple of days. On Aussie wickets you are going to get big partnerships, especially when the wicket flattens out. The batters did their job, the quicks stood up, it was a fantastic all-round performance. Marnus is ridiculous, he has a big appetite for runs. Lyon is the most important bowler in our team, he keeps taking wickets. There wasn't much on offer for the spinners, but he found out a way and kept picking wickets.
Kraigg Brathwaite: Obviously disappointed with the loss. We gave away the wickets in the first innings, but it was a good fight. We must sit down as a team and as a bowling unit especially to figure out how we are going to get 20 wickets. Wasn't thinking about survival, I was just thinking about batting normal, first hour was crucial. We had to believe in our plans, we had to bat normal. It's good to see the fight from the batters, but still a lot of improvement to be done. We lost wickets in the first session and that put us under pressure. Australia bowled well. We need to come up with a better plan in the second Test. For me as a leader I need to lead from the front. Getting a hundred is special, to build the foundation for the team - that's essential. We have to wait on Roach's scan, we'll assess it and pick the best XI for the next Test.
Marnus Labuschagne, Player of the Match: The ground is similar to the one in Brisbane, playing on bouncy wickets helps. It was nice to play on a very nice wicket. Coming in early, the ball was nipping around, so the first innings knock (double ton) is my favourite. (On his battle against Alzarri Joseph in the second innings) It was a really nice battle. He was bowling nice and fast and it definitely got the beans flowing. It's nice to be able to compose myself after that no ball wicket and keep going. Probably have a lot to give to our batting coach. He has had some long throws. All of us, Davey, Steve, Green, me - we have been hitting a lot of balls (in the nets).
Nathan Lyon: A long one but it's a great way to start (the Test summer). To win the first Test of any series is very important. To come here to Perth and do it, it's great to be back here. We are playing Test cricket and these guys are up there with some of the best players in the world, we expect tough fight every Test match we play for Australia. I was pretty happy with that one (Brathwaite's wicket). Kraiggy batted extremely well, he's a superstar batter and I had to be patient. It's all about looking after each other (with Cummins not able to bowl). When one goes down, someone has to stand up and take a little bit of that workload, I'm more than happy to do that. He (Cummins) is alright, he's going okay, he just said thanks to me. Hopefully he'll be alright for Adelaide. (On Marnus Labuschagne) Incredible, he's been incredible for Australia and Queensland for a number of years now. It's great to see him getting the results that he deserves. He wants us to call him the 'baby GOAT' but we are not sure about that one yet.
14:27 Local Time, 06:27 GMT, 11:57 IST: The players shake hands and start walking back to the pavilion. On the back of the double centuries by Smith and Labuschagne in the first innings, and a century by Labuschagne in the second innings, Australia have managed to beat West Indies by a massive margin in Perth. The margin could have been even bigger, had West Indies not fought so well. Brathwaite played a captain's knock, leading from the front - but he couldn't get the required support from his team-mates. Chase and Joseph had a 82-run partnership for the 8th wicket, but Head was the one who broke that stand. Lyon was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed his 21st five-wicket haul in Tests. Overall, Australia will be satisfied with their performance, but West Indies wouldn't be much disappointed either. Stay around for the presentations..
Lyon to Roach, out Bowled!! Australia win by 164 runs and take a 1-0 lead! Lyon bowls a straighter delivery on off, Roach looks to defend, but ends up playing for the spin. The off-stump goes for a toss and Lyon finishes with six wickets in the innings, 8 wickets in the match. Good fight shown by West Indies, but not enough to save the Test. Roach b Lyon 0(1)

Kemar Roach, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Lyon to Roston Chase, out Caught by Starc!! 21st five-wicket haul in Tests for Lyon! That's a fantastic catch by Starc as he charges in from the deep and puts in a dive to grab it. Roston Chase was down the wicket to flick the tossed up delivery away, but he couldn't time it well enough. Walks back after playing a solid innings does the all-rounder. Australia need only one wicket more to go 1-0 up. Roston Chase c Starc b Lyon 55(85) [4s-3 6s-1]
