India have overhauled a spirited Windies unit. They were made to sweat though! Windies first bowled well as the wicket offered seam and bounce. India's ploy to open with Pant fell flat and Kohli's dry run also continued. But KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav batted responsibly to take India to a respectable total. India also made good use of the conditions and no dew helped the spinners. Windies lower order, as usual, tried to scare off the Indian bowlers but they held their nerves. India have ticked off a few boxes and a few remain blank. India also have pocketed 20 points but Windies have drawn a blank so far despite threatening to come close to a win. That is it from our group of veteran degenerate typists! This is KAD bidding you tata on behalf of Pradeep K, Akshay M and Siva!

Prasidh Krishna | Player of the Match: I have been striving hard to do this for a long time. So, I am very happy that we won. I was still looking to hit the good areas. When I came in to bat, I knew it was still seaming. I would have laughed it off (If someone would have told him he would finish with the figures he ended with today). I had seen the wicket in the last game. Experimenting wasn't possible as there was not much to defend. So, I stuck to good lines. I want to be as consistent as possible. The white ball cricket is a power game.

Rohit Sharma | India captain: Obviously winning the series is a good feeling. There were some challenges. The partnership between Rahul and Surya had a lot of maturity. We got to a respectable total in the end. We knew we could fight it out. The entire unit came out and bowled superbly. It is important for these guys to bat under pressure and that is how you will judge their character. Surya had to take his time and understand what the team wants from him. KL also batted superbly as he is consistently up and down in the order. I have been asked to try different things, so that was something different (on Pant opening). We wanted to try it one game and is not a permanent thing. Shikhar should be back for the next game. We don't mind losing a few games while trying out a few things. Because it is important to look at the long term goals. We will see what works out well for the team combination (for the final ODI). I was a little surprised to see no dew. I have never seen a spell like that in India for a long time now. Bowled with a lot of pace and kept it going. The others complemented him. When you have five bowlers and Deepak being sixth, you always need to keep rotating the bowlers.

Nicholas Pooran | West Indies captain: With the bat, we didn't build partnerships. We kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In the 39th over, we lost Fabian first and then Hosein in the very next. We need to continue to be aggressive. Pollard is a tough and big guy and should be back. Smith is a strong guy. He is a little inexperienced but sky is the limit for him. We did a good job with the ball and hopefully we can do the same in the final game. And also do better with the bat.

Shardul Thakur: It was (a bit tense towards the end). You know with day-night games, with dew coming in and if one of the batters gets in and then you're in the game, he (Smith) hit 2-3 shots but in the end it went well for us. I think fast bowlers were bowling really well today. There was some assistance in the pitch and all three of us were able to extract something. The idea was to get wickets and if you get wickets upfront then the game gets away from you. When we batted, West Indies used the short ball well and there was more on this surface, so we also bowled the short balls. I wish the surface remains the same (for the last ODI).

21:28 Local Time, 15:58 GMT, 21:28 IST: India have bounced back and how! Only 237 with the bat but the bowlers raised their hands to deliver the win. Prasidh led the pack and bowled meticulously and metronomically to deliver dream figures of 9-3-12-4. The West Indies' top-order once again put up a lame show and the lower middle order tried their level best but could not outsmart the hosts. Rohit Sharma was excellent with his bowling changes and field placements. Luckily the dew also didn't affect the bowlers much as well. The wicket had pace and bounce in it and the faster men from both sides did well to extract enough from the wicket. That set up a wonderful contest which was much more close than what the scorecard suggests. Windies did try to scare the Indians despite being five down early but Hosein, Allen and Smith didn't score enough in the end to convert the scare into anything more substantial.

Prasidh to Roach, out Lbw!! Roach didn't review! India win the series and take an unassailable lead of 2-0. That was quick and full, Roach shuffled across and played across the line to miss it. The ball was heading towards the sticks and would have crashed into leg-stump. Prasidh has been the difference, 4 for 12 in 9 overs is something to be pretty proud of. Roach lbw b Prasidh 0(6)

Prasidh to Roach, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!

45.5

Prasidh to Roach, no run, slower delivery and Roach hangs back to push it back to the bowler

45.4

Prasidh to Roach, no run, uh oh! One quickster against another. That was banged in a little and didn't climb up much for the batter to miss the tuck

45.3

Prasidh to Roach, no run, aims for the sticks but wasn't full enough to slip under the bat. Roach defends it out

45.2

Prasidh to Roach, no run, back of a length delivery, Roach stays on the back foot and defends it out into the off-side

45.1

Prasidh to Roach, no run, slower, fuller and Roach taps it down into the off-side with soft hands

Prasidh Krishna [8.0-2-12-3] is back into the attack

Yes, there was pressure on India to bowl the offies. But the Sundar-Rohit thinking has paid dividends.

Washington Sundar to Odean Smith, out Caught by Kohli!! Rohit Sharma has done it. Sundar has done it and India I feel have sealed it. The bait was lobbed up and Odean Smith went for the swipe across the line. The top-edge went miles but it came down to be gobbled up by Kohli at deep mid. He did fall back and his head might have bumped a little on the ground but he managed to hold on. Odean Smith c Kohli b Washington Sundar 24(20) [4s-1 6s-2]
