Babar collects the trophy, poses for the cameras and then gives it to his team-mates. All smiles in the Pakistan camp and that brings an end to the series. Unfortunately due to the rising number of positive Covid cases in the West Indies camp, the ODI series has been postponed to June 2022. So that brings the curtains down on this tour. We had a good time covering it. Hope you did too. Do catch up on all the action on this platform along with news, reviews, videos and much more. Until next time, be well, take care and stay safe. Ta, ta!

Babar Azam | Pakistan captain: Definitely the plan was to play according to the situation. We thought of managing the run-rate and once we had the momentum, we took off. The effort put in by the seamers in the series has been impressive. It was a chance to test our bench strength today and I'm happy. We are preparing for the T20 World Cup in Australia and the team is giving 100 per cent. The way Rizwan has played throughout the year and the way he has improved his batting - all the youngsters should look at him and take him as a role model.

Nicholas Pooran | West Indies captain: Felt like the last two overs, we lost the momentum. Pakistan bowled well. We were 15 runs short on this wicket. Most of the guys haven't slept the whole night and I'm very proud of the unit. I want to commend all the guys for making that extra effort to come out to play today, we spent the whole day wondering whether we should play this game or not. Lot of positives and a lot of guys took their opportunities. A special bunch of guys and we have competed throughout and well done to the guys.

Mohammad Rizwan: 207 is a big target in T20s, the coach told us to target the circle [probably hinting at the 30-yard circle in the powerplay] as the West Indies had done and that was the first target which we achieved and then our task became easier. I have focussed better and I don't know how many runs I have got this year. I can't give a name to that shot [referring to the leg-side swat], I have worked on that with the coaches [Shahid Aslam] and thanks to them for the improvement in my all-round game.

Mohammad Rizwan is the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series.

21:41 Local Time, 16:41 GMT, 22:11 IST: Highest successful chase ever for Pakistan in T20Is and they have done it with 7 balls to spare. Also their 20th win of 2021 in this format. What a year for them and they have rounded off with a crushing chase tonight. Rizwan was given out lbw first ball of the innings but a review saved him as it was bouncing over. From then on, him and Babar didn't put a foot wrong and flayed the bowlers to all corners of the National Stadium. At one stage it looked like they would chase 208 without loss but that wasn't to be. Whenever West Indies had a decent over, they followed it with an expensive over and Pooran was left scratching his head as his bowlers did not bowl to the field. Only the debutant Gudakesh Motie came out of the effort with his pride intact. The rest were smashed. Lots of learnings for a second-string West Indies side who proved no match to the Pakistan team who were not playing their full-strength outfit either this series. Do stay tuned for the post-match stuff.

Shepherd to Asif Ali, 1 run, dropped off the free-hit but it won't matter. Pakistan whitewash the West Indies 3-0. Full and Asif Ali miscued the loft, Powell tried to take it reverse-cupped at long-on but missed and they take the single needed to win the game

Shepherd to Asif Ali, no ball, FOUR, full-toss and swung away wide of deep backward square, poor bowling and Asif Ali just had to hit the gap which he did. It's over the waist too and called a no-ball. The scores are level

18.4

Shepherd to Asif Ali, no run, short on the stumps, Asif Ali can afford to sit and let it go

Shepherd to Asif Ali, SIX, high and over deep mid-wicket's head. Can't miss your lengths to this man. Full on middle, heaved with lofts of height but has the distance too. Another nail into the coffin for the visitors

Aman Kapoor: Kudos to Mohammad Rizwan - Such a TERRIFIC YEAR for him - MR CONSISTENT !!

Shepherd to Iftikhar Ahmed, 1 run, round the wicket and full on off, Iftikhar Ahmed drags the thick inside-edge to fine-leg

Shepherd to Fakhar Zaman, out Caught by Shamarh Brooks!! Fakhar Zaman holes out. Low full-toss on the stumps, Fakhar whipped that flat and hard but Brooks took an overhead catch with two hands standing close to the cushions at long-on. Made the catch look fairly easy. Fakhar Zaman c Shamarh Brooks b Shepherd 12(8) [4s-2]

Shepherd to Fakhar Zaman, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
