Jomel Warrican | PoTM | PoTS - Speeds were very important, bowling was very effective and once I worked it out, it worked to my advantage./ I just backed myself, backed my ability to find the boundaries and rotate strike. We were backing ourselves to win the game, we had the belief after having bowled them out for a cheap total in the first innings. Variation in pace, hitting the same length over and over, just keeping the same length was the key for success.

10:49 Local Time, 05:49 GMT, 11:19 IST: Warrican holds the ball as the players walk away in joy, a moment to cherish for the visitors. West Indies started 2024 with a 1-1 series draw in Australia, they've started 2025 with a 1-1 series draw in Pakistan. For a team that hasn't done well in Test cricket, hopefully this is the start of a new era for West Indian cricket. For Pakistan, they prepared a pitch that was going to suit their spinners, it did succeed, but they were outbowled by their West Indian counterparts in this Test. It didn't look so when they slipped to 54 for 8 in the first session of Day 1. But they then started to find heroes - Gudakesh Motie made 55, Kemar Roach made 25 and Jomel Warrican made 36*, taking them to 163 all-out. The trio then came back to rip apart the hosts, bowling them out for 154 and gaining a 9-run first-innings lead. Day 2 started with captain Kraigg Brathwaite showing the way, wasn't always pretty, but his 52 set the tone for the second innings, useful contributions down the order took them to 244, a total that was substantial on this kind of pitch. Chasing 254, Pakistan needed a good start, but they lost both openers cheaply - Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha got starts, but there was always a ball with their name on it. Eventually, it was a tame surrender, this time by 120 runs and they end the #2025WTC cycle on a losing note.

Warrican to Sajid Khan, out Bowled!! The 34-year old jinx has been broken, West Indies have won a Test in Pakistan. It's a moment to savour for them, but they'll hope that this ain't one-off. Was a flatter delivery on off, Sajid pressed forward, stayed leg-side and then tried to dab it onto the off-side, gets an under-edge and the ball bounces onto the stumps. Smiles all-around in the Windies camp and Warrican has finished with five. He started the rout and he has the final say, as he mimics Sajid Khan's thigh-slap celebration. It's 1-1 for everyone concerned - Pakistan, West Indies, Sajid Khan and Jomel Warrican. Sajid Khan b Warrican 7(15)

Warrican to Sajid Khan, no run, tossed up and drifting away with spin, stayed low and went past Sajid's back-foot poke. Warrican retaliates with a John Cena 'you can't see me' gesture towards the batter as Sajid gives a wry smile back. Just a bit of banter and needle between these two...

Motie to Noman Ali, out Caught by Warrican!! Six and OUT for Noman - he looks disappointed, but he didn't have a choice, came down the pitch to a well flighted delivery and drilled the drive once again, this time though it carried comfortably for mid-off - a stomach high catch and Warrican made it look easy. Pakistan are nine down and are sinking in Multan. Noman Ali c Warrican b Motie 6(6) [6s-1]
