So the end of a fabulous game of cricket. The bowlers had a bit of a hiding but the batters, especially skippers of both sides, made merry. Bavuma might have played the better knock but Hope got more support. Windies have taken a 1-0 lead. Their catching and fielding was appalling but they would want to set that right. We will be back soon with more cricketing action soon! This is Kumar Abhisekh Das signing off on behalf of Praveen.

Shai Hope, Player of the Match: Was a good game in the end. I think it was a pretty good game. Catches win matches but we dropped a few to be in the situation we were in. Important to look forward. I thought it was a difficult wicket to start on. You have to play the situation. The pressure handling was the key. The way they were going, it was important for us to get wickets, It was important for us to finish well.

Temba Bavuma: We thought it could happen. We needed a few more partnerships. But we weren't clinical. 300 would have been a better target. Important for the guys to learn. They could have acted better. The guys won't learn this at the domestic level. This is valuable experience for them. I told Lungi, we could send them into panic if we get 15 runs from two overs now. But I got out.

20:57 Local Time, 18:57 GMT, 00:27 IST: Windies win by 48 runs despite a brave Bavuma knock. Alzarri Joseph got a three-fer and so did Hosein. Some questionable shots cost SA tonight. Bavuma fought alone but they have fallen well short. RVD, Stubbs fell to the short ball. Jansen fell to a rush of blood and Coetzee was a little lazy to drag his bat inside the crease. Bavuma was relentless at one end. But couldn't get them over the line. SA would be very gutted as few moments of poor cricket have cost them tonight.

Alzarri Joseph to Shamsi, out Caught by Shai Hope!! That was a fuller length delivery, Shamsi went for the drive and edged it down to the keeper. It is all over. Windies win by 48 runs to take a 1-0 lead. Shamsi c Shai Hope b Alzarri Joseph 0(2)

Alzarri Joseph to Shamsi, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Alzarri Joseph to Bavuma, out Caught by Shai Hope!! Temba 'Valiant' Bavuma is gone. The short ball has done it. Bavuma almost tried to snatch a win but it is a pity it won't be happening with his departure. The ONE MAN SHOW is over. Was a short ball, slower, down leg, the tennis ball like bounce induces the edge and the keeper takes it easily. The leap of joy from Alzarri Joseph says it all. End of one of the finest knocks at the Buffalo Park. Bavuma c Shai Hope b Alzarri Joseph 144(118) [4s-11 6s-7]

Alzarri Joseph to Bavuma, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Alzarri Joseph to Ngidi, 1 run, uses the pace on the ball and guides it down to deep third for a single

40.6

Mayers to Ngidi, 1 run, again why has that single been taken? A little baffling. That was outer-edged down to short third and Bavuma almost coaxed his partner into running a single there as the man at short third was a little too casual

40.5

Mayers to Ngidi, no run, slower length delivery outside off and Ngidi misses the punch on the off-side

40.4

Mayers to Ngidi, no run, punches a length delivery and finds the man at cover. That seemed a confident shot. The pace from Mayers isn't going to trouble Ngidi much

The field doesn't come in. That's strange from WI. Can't be giving easy singles to Ngidi.

40.3

Mayers to Bavuma, 1 run, punches a length delivery into the off-side and sets off for a single

40.2

Mayers to Ngidi, 1 run, angles the ball in, tucks the ball down into the on-side for a single

40.1

Mayers to Bavuma, 1 run, backs away and chops the ball down into the off-side for a single as that was a length delivery outside off

Kyle Mayers [5.0-0-36-1] is back into the attack

Only 54 now but only 2 wickets remain.
