That's stumps then. The West Indies picked that one rare day ODI to take four hours to bowl their quota of overs. It gave us a nice throwback to the good ol' days of DLS influencing match results with bad light being a constant threat around. But in the process, Sri Lanka have managed to pull off the highest chase at this ground that doesn't really get chances to host ODIs. That's it from us then, as I, Vineet Anantharaman sign off on behalf of Sriram AS and our scorer, Sreenivas. Until Hambantota and the floodlights, ta ta!!
Dimuth Karunaratne | Winning skipper: We have done a couple of mistakes and we need to learn from them, especially in the death overs with the ball and the middle overs with the bat. Wanindu and Sandakan bowled in good areas and kept the pressure. My only concern was in the last ten overs where we gave away 90 runs. If we get a start, we need to continue. Unfortunately both Fernando and me got out after getting fifties, but we need to capitalize next time. Most of the guys haven't played an ODI in Hambantota including me, so we're really excited. A big thankyou to the crowd here for supporting us.
Kieron Pollard | Losing skipper: It was a good game of cricket. Any game that goes till the last over and has the crowd at the edge of their seats is good. We are trying to build the platform for the finish at the back end. Hope batted really well and played his role well. Bravo, coming back into the team, also played well. He was unlucky to get run-out. Some of us had soft dismissals and had that not happened, we could have had 320. At the end of the day, it wasn't the leg-spinner having to bowl late in the day that lost us the game, we lost it at the start with the ball.
Wanindu Hasaranga | MoM: When I went to bat there were 60-70 runs to get and I wanted to bat till the end to take the side home. I felt a little pressure but I knew that things would get easier if I stayed at the crease.
17:59 Local Time, 12:29 GMT, 17:59 IST: Try all you want, there's no way you could've fitted in another twist. The entire quota's been exhausted, re-exhausted, over-abused. Hasaranga, the li'l peach, couldn't have found a better moment to show his steely nerves, keeping his calm in the middle while some of his more established colleagues kept falling to glory hits. But he'll have some of the West Indian bowling to thank, Cottrell in particular who was all around the place. But the Lankans had no business getting it this close. Fernando and Karunaratne laid out the perfect platform, getting to respective fifties, and most of the others in the middle order too got starts and looked settled. It's not that they fell to some great bowling either; just the usual poor shots. And then it kept twisting, turning, but Hasaranga was a little too clincial to let it twist one last time.
Keemo Paul to Hasaranga, no ball, booo. What anti-cimax .. a full toss over the waist, which Hasaranga heaves over mid-wicket, but he won't get it. He couldn't care. He's earned this thriller's bragging rights irrespective
Nuwan Pradeep, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Keemo Paul to Sandakan, out Sandakan Run Out!! This just won't get over. It's not allowed to. Sandakan's knocked it out to mid-wicket, runs compulsively, and the direct hit at the non-striker's doesn't even have him in the frame. Sri Lanka won't mind, Hasaranga's gotten the strike. Sandakan run out (Ambris) 3(9)
Keemo Paul to Sandakan, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!
1 run | 6 balls. Surely there isn't a surprise, surely ..

Cottrell to Hasaranga, no run, bouncer. Quick, angling in, and Hasaranga ducks
Scores level.
Cottrell to Hasaranga, FOUR, wide full toss. Take that. Cottrell really couldn't have done worse. Hasaranga uses the width, uses the pace and slices it away behind point
Cottrell to Sandakan, 1 run, bouncer on the face. Sandakan controls it rather nicely, keeping it down and getting it to fine leg
Cottrell to Sandakan, no run, on off with the cutter. Nothing fancy, just a solid no-fuss block back
Cottrell to Sandakan, wide, walks across his stumps in wanting to pump it behind square. Misses. But the line's just down leg
Cottrell to Hasaranga, 1 run, full again, on off, jammed down to long-off. Hasaranga continues to trust ..
Cottrell to Hasaranga, 2 runs, pushed out through the covers. And Sandakan HAS to go back for the second. He dives, and he's helped by an almost dead throw from the deep

8-0-47-2
Keemo Paul to Sandakan, no run, he'll live. Sri Lanka will live. It's the obvious yorker, and Sandakan will find a way to squeze it out
Keemo Paul to Sandakan, no run, poked out to point. Hasaranga wants the single. Sandakan is in no mood. And the fielder nails the direct hit at the non-striker's. The dive's the saviour
