Kieron Pollard walks up to collect the trophy and his mates are already waiting in front of the Champions board. They are having a ball out there, smiling and look super stoked. West Indies are the reigning World Champions for a reason. With Russell back in the mix, they are a force to reckon with in this format especially with the T20 World Cup coming up later this year. The Sri Lankans after a strong show in the ODIs and clean-sweeping the Men in Maroon were left clueless in these two T20Is. That caps off this short limited overs tour for West Indies. Their next assignment is in June against England. Sri Lanka don't have much time to ponder as Root and his boys have already arrived in the Island as they take on Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series. Time for us to conclude the proceedings for today. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's a goodbye from all of us down here. Goodnight!
Kieron Pollard | West Indies captain: Feel satisfied to get a victory in the Sri Lankan shores. We are very happy. What was more pleasing is the intensity we showed today. It's a new day and the guys executed their plans brilliantly. It was a total team effort. Russell coming at the end and finishing it. The foundation laid by Brandon King. The young guy, who's finding his feet in International cricket. And the way, the bowlers bowled was fantastic. I think execution with the ball and sticking to the plans was the key for us. We wanted them to hit in one direction. In the ODI series, we allowed them to hit on both sides of the wicket. He's (Kusal Perera) looking for the width to free his arms, so every time you bowl fuller he tends to miss it because that's his strength. We picked that up and as I told, it was a total team effort in terms of planning.
Lasith Malinga | Sri Lanka captain: I think this surface, we tried to get 160-170. But we felt the wicket was slower. Unfortunately, Wanindu got injured and he was our main guy. Still no excuses. We had to get early wickets and altogether, our bowling wasn't good. The new management are doing the right thing, I want to thank all the Sri Lankan supporters. In the next 12 games, we have to concentrate on consistency. Thisara and Angelo have good experience in T20 cricket, we want to deliver the best for Sri Lankan team in the next few months. All the players give their 100 percent but we still want to improve on our fielding.
Andre Russell | Man of the Match and Man of the Series: It's good to know that (on informing that he's the first player to hit six sixes to reach the score of 40). I was trying to get the runs. It was a good team display. I am happy. We are kicking at the right time, still have some areas to work though. We have a good one-day side as well. But losing that first game and even the second didn't go our way, finally the series, it was disappointing. I have a fantastic team here. We are from the Caribbean, so we get along well. I really appreciate everything.
Brandon King: Outstanding feeling, guys did well. Strong performances in both the games. It (his own performance) was pleasing. My role was to try and get the team to a good position at the end of the powerplay. I decided to take responsibility, after losing the early wicket, tried to keep the momentum going. Very important (win), we haven't done well in the last couple of T20 series, so this was very important for us. It's amazing, the way he (Andre Russell) hits, nobody else can do it in the world.
22:25 Local Time, 16:55 GMT, 22:25 IST: West Indies seal the T20I series 2-0. They have turned the tables around and how! Look at Russell, he thumps his chest and looks up at the sky. Pollard bows down to Russell as he comes to exchange pleasantries. Sri Lankan players are gobsmacked by this assault as they get together to pick up the pieces. The visitors have made a mincemeat of 156. Brandon King gave the headstart with a quickfire 43 taking West Indies off to a flier. Hasaranga's injury only worsened things for Sri Lanka. Although Kumara gave a glimmer of hope to his team by getting rid of King off his second ball, Hetmyer and Powell stitched together a 34-run stand for the third wicket to quash the home team's thoughts of a comeback. Jayasuriya took a blinder to dismiss Powell for 17. Andre Russell walked in next and wasted no time, blasting a six off his second ball and there was no looking back from there. Tore apart the Sri Lanka bowling with a 14-ball 40 cameo to help his side get home by 7 wickets and 18 balls to spare. Sri Lanka just didn't have enough runs on the board, as simple as that.

Mathews
4-0-26-1
Mathews to Russell, SIX, there is the chequered flag. It's the Russell special to seal things off. Ain't going to miss out on this short delivery, climbs onto it and mercilessly mows it over mid-wicket
Mathews to Russell, no run, this length delivery sticks and Russell meets it high on the bat as he looks a bit stunned
Mathews to Hetmyer, 1 run, backs this short delivery to long-on
Mathews to Hetmyer, no run, Mathews keeps it short again, Hetmyer pulls albeit straight to mid-wicket
Mathews to Russell, 1 run, peppered short, Russell smacks the pull uppishly to deep mid-wicket
Mathews to Hetmyer, 1 run, Hetmyer is happy to give the strike to Russell. Creaming it away to sweeper cover
Angelo Mathews [3.0-0-17-1] is back into the attack
West Indies just need 7..

Malinga
3-0-46-0
Malinga to Russell, SIX, Russell is in a hurry here. Malinga can't get his yorker right. Lands it in the swinging arc for Russell, Russell unwinds with a heave over mid-wicket. Came right off the screws and into the grassbanks
Malinga to Hetmyer, 1 run, fuller length on middle and leg, whipped through mid-wicket
Malinga to Russell, 1 run, similar delivery, similar yorker. Russell again jams it out
Malinga to Russell, no run, wow! This is a great contest between bat and ball. This was almost a replica of Fizz yorker that we saw in the IPL a few years back to which Russell had no answer. Malinga cannons a yorker that nearly went through Russell's defences. But he gets his bat down in time and keeps it out. Spectacular from the Sri Lankan captain, well played equally by Russell
Malinga to Russell, SIX, Russell is dealing only in sixes. That's the way he plays. This Kookaburra ball is flying all across Pallekele here. Malinga ain't spared too. Bowls it full but the line is wide of off. Russell bends, reaches for it and still murders it over long-on. Fourth six for Russell
Malinga to Hetmyer, 1 run, fuller just outside off, Hetmyer leans across and drives it to sweeper cover
