So, Shai Hope wins his first ODI series as a captain and it's also the first series win for Daren Sammy as WI head coach. WI are shaping up well before the World Cup Qualifiers. UAE are gaining good experience as WI are a quality side and the more they play against the bigger teams, the better it will be for their future. That's it from our side. Join us for the third and final ODI on the 9th of June. Till then, goodbye and take care!

Johnson Charles | Player of the Match: Getting the man of the match is always special and it means you have done something well for the team. Well, that is for the selectors. My job is to score runs and score as many as possible. It is natural, it was a part of our game plan (to be aggressive). Someone has to make the move and take it (the game) on and that is my role. The pitch was better than the last time we played. There was something for the bowlers and for batting also it was decent.

Shai Hope | WI captain: As you say, a win is a win. The batters at the top set it up for us. King does what he does best and Charles also batted well. He (Jordan) got just a bit of swing and that was enough to get us an early wicket, he bowled well and I am happy for him. Credit has to be given where it is due but we didn't pick many wickets. There might be some changes but let's see.. (referring to the last ODI).

Vriitya Aravind | Stand-in UAE captain : It is a crime to get out after getting a start. Hopefully will get a big one in the next game and contribute to the team's success. His (Ali Naseer) batting has been unbelievable and that is a positive to carry forward. Very impressive for such a young guy to come in and score back to back fifties against a quality side like the West Indies. The bowling department has been doing well especially Zahoor towards the end. We have an important tournament coming up in Zimbabwe and we want to be well prepared.

00:13 Local Time, 20:13 GMT, 01:43 IST: Another convincing win for WI and they have sealed the series 2-0 with a game in hand. Almost a no contest in the second half of the game. UAE showed character with the ball as they fought back after getting a hammering from the WI openers but a target of 307 was always going to be an uphill task for the hosts. Waseem was nipped out cheaply by the debutant, Jordan. Aryansh Sharma played a few delightful strokes but Smith got the better of him. There was lack of intent from the home side batters from the onset and it didn’t get any better with the exception of Ali Naseer. They allowed the opposition bowlers to dominate and when you do that while chasing a big target, you are more or less out of the game. There was a 80-run stand for the fifth wicket between Basil Hameed and Ali Naseer but it came at a slow pace. The latter scored another fifty but departed soon after. The WI bowlers were largely disciplined and closed out the game well. Stick around for the presentations...
