So, West Indies go to the top of the table with this victory and they have guaranteed themselves a place in the finals. Ireland on the other hand needs nothing less than a miracle to qualify. Do join us for Windies vs Bangladesh on tuesday, until then it's a goodbye from us. Good night and take care!
Jason Holder: Very good effort by the boys. Brilliant ton by Sunil Ambris. We dropped an early chance and that cost us some runs. As a group we want to improve every time we cross the line. 300 can be a daunting task but we chased it down well.
William Porterfield: All credit to West Indies with the way they played. Balbirnie has been in great form for us and he has continued that. We thought we had a great chance at the half-time but you have to give credit to the opposition.
Sunil Ambris, Man of the Match: Very happy, second time I was given the opportunity to bat at this position. This pitch was slow initially but when I got my eye in, I made most of it. Good performance never goes unnoticed.
18:25 Local Time, 17:25 GMT, 22:55 IST: An extremely professional run-chase by West Indies! 328 is never ease to chase down even in the best of conditions. But West Indies never looked flustered with the number of runs they had to chase down. Sunil Ambris laid the platform for them with a brilliant 148. He was scoring at a brilliant strike-rate and that ensured that required rate was never out of control. When he departed, Carter and Holder took over. Both struck some meaty blows and added 75 runs in just 46 balls. Their partnership ensured Windies get over the line without much fuss. Hang on for the presentations.
Rankin to J Carter, FOUR, West Indies win by 5 wickets! This is the highest successful run-chase by West Indies in ODIs! It was a good length delivery and was wide of off, Carter uses the pace of the delivery and steers it past the keeper for a boundary
Fabian Allen, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Rankin to Holder, out Caught by Porterfield!! Taken at mid-off, needless from Holder. And he will have to depart. He wanted to finish it in style with a lofted shot over mid-off. He miscues it totally and it went a long way up in the air. It landed into the hands of Porterfield. Holder c Porterfield b Rankin 36(24) [4s-1 6s-2]
Rankin to Holder, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Rankin to Holder, FOUR, pulled and pulled hard! And it has reached the fence in a canter. It was on a short of length, Holder gets in a good position and smashes it wide of deep mid-wicket for a boundary
Rankin to Holder, SIX, Holder has climbed into this one and has cleared the ropes with utmost ease for a six. He plunges forward and lifts it over long-off for a maximum
Rankin to J Carter, 1 run, on a good length and it was wide of off, Carter runs it down to third man
Boyd Rankin [7.0-0-50-2] is back into the attack
