Bangladesh make it 1-0, but this 0 would feel like a lot lesser for the Windies here. And this kind schedule gives them an entire day to fix this mess, which starts with their skipper's place in the eleven. But again, rising out of a mess is what they've made a livelihood out of in the recent years. This is Vineet Anantharaman signing off on behalf of Nikhil Jadhav and Varun Dixit, and until Dhaka again on Tuesday, ta ta!!
Mashrafe Mortaza | Winning skipper | Man of the Match: The Windies are very dangerous in this format but our bowlers were brilliant. We just tried to give them the same feeling of facing spin from both sides like they did in the Tests. Liton played a good knock, Shakib gave us quick runs which helped a lot but Mushfiqur was clinical. I don't think a lot about this being my 200th ODI, but I am happy that the team won; we still have a lot of challenges coming our way in the future.
Rovman Powell | Losing skipper: Winning the toss didn't play into our hands; we just didn't bat as well as we wanted to and that brought about our downfall. The players who got starts on such a hard wicket should have carried on, and that is something we will talk about. The wicket I thought wouldn't last a hundred overs but to my surprise it did. The senior guys have been very supportive and are behind me, but we just need to bat, bowl and field well.
20:04 Local Time: Yes, Rahim makes these chases look like cakewalks, but don't be fooled by the ease with which he went about this one. Tamim couldn't last long on his comeback, Kayes didn't deal well with his drop to number three with a lot of runs either. Liton Das hung in there, with Mushfiqur playing second fiddle at first, before Shakib and Sarkar came, swung and fell as he stuck to his role of being the sensible partner around, dropped anchor and ensured he stayed around to see his side home. 195 wasn't threatening and the Windies needed more than just a couple of quick wickets to make a contest out of it, but alas, a few aggressive shots and a few edges running away for boundaries didn't help their confidence. Oshane as usual was quick, Keemo extracted good bounce, but they missed a Mustafizur at the death who could bowl cutters at will. Anyways, stay put, we'll tell you what the skippers offer.
Bishoo to Rahim, 2 runs, genuine outside edge. But that'll do just as well .. a serious ripper turning square from down leg, Rahim was only looking to defend, but it got big, went across and grabs the outside-splice to run down to third man
So we go into another over with only single-digits needed.
