Tremendous fightback from the Windies has meant that they have an opportunity to win the series. Just cannot write them off in the limited overs format, isn't it? Right, it's onto the decider in Sylhet. Do join us for the third and final ODI on December 14th (Friday). Until then, it's a goodbye and goodnight from here.
Rovman Powell, Windies captain: I think they responded pretty good under pressure. We started off poorly with the ball. 256 on this wicket, we would've taken it at the interval and Shai played a blinder of an innings. That's the only department (bowling) that we have always done well. It's just for us to continue to do that. We pulled it back in the death overs. We have a chance to win the series now. We are definitely looking at that.
Shai Hope, Man of the Match: Very pleased. I just kept backing myself and knew that as long as I bat till the end, we will win. I asked Keemo to bat deep, it wasn't an easy wicket in the beginning.
Mashrafe Mortaza, Bangladesh captain: It was a 50-50 match in the end, but we couldn't hold onto the pressure. It was a good match, hopefully we'll come back strong in the next game. We lost many wickets in the middle overs and dropping catches also cost us the game. They batted well, credit goes to him (Hope). He held his nerve and finished nicely. Batting was alright till 25 overs, we started well with the ball but the wicket helped the batters as the game progressed.
20:58 Local Time: Paul and Hope have done it for the Windies. The latter punches the air in delight. Bright smiles in the Windies camp. Handshakes follow. What a humdinger it was. Fortunes ebbed and flowed, but in the end, Windies have clinched it and in the process, they stay alive in the series. Hope, the hero for the visitors. Not to forget the contributions from Bravo, Samuels and Paul as well. They were cruising at one stage, but lost their way completely as Bangladesh fought back with regular strikes. But Hope kept his calm and composure, ensured that he batted deep after his ton to take his team over the line. Bangladesh will rue the fact that they dropped a slew of catches which made the difference in the end. Wait for the presentations.
Mahmudullah to K Paul, 2 runs, persists with short again, Paul goes back and clubs it in the gap at deep mid-wicket to square the series 1-1
Mahmudullah goes round the wicket.
Mahmudullah to Shai Hope, 1 run, darter, keeps low again. Hope lowers his stance and smacks it to deep square leg
Mahmudullah to K Paul, 1 run, drops it short, but it's quick. Paul pulls it to deep mid-wicket, settles for a single
Mahmudullah to K Paul, 2 runs, flatter and stayed low, Paul goes back and swats it to the right of deep mid-wicket. Paul runs hard and comes back for the second. The throw from the fielder was poor to the keeper
Phew! It's come down to this. 6 required off the final over. Guess, who's warming up? It's Mahmudullah. Who's your money on, folks?

Mustafizur to Shai Hope, FOUR, boundary to cap off the over and Windies need just 6 from the final over. Stunned silence in the crowd. Rahman went full and at the stumps, Hope sits down and moves across to scoop. Gets a top-edge and it flies over the keeper
Mustafizur to Shai Hope, no run, good follow-up ball from Rahman, nails the yorker outside off. Hope squeezes and misses
Mustafizur to Shai Hope, FOUR, wow! Back to back fours for Hope. Windies dug-out is pumped. Dug in short outside off, Hope gets on top of the bounce and drills it over extra cover
Mustafizur to Shai Hope, FOUR, precious boundary for Windies. Full and outside off, Hope throws the kitchen sink and smears it behind point. Third man tried his best but in vain
Mustafizur to Shai Hope, wide, Rahman overdoes the yorker. Wafts it outside the widelines, gets penalised
Mustafizur to Shai Hope, 2 runs, slapped ferociously to the right of sweeper cover, the fielder does well and they add two to the total
Mustafizur to K Paul, 1 run, sensible. Lenght delivery on middle and leg, tucked in front of square on the leg-side

Rubel
9-0-57-2
Rubel to K Paul, 1 run, oh dear! Nazmul puts down a straightforward chance at deep square leg. Seems like he lost it completely because he overran, making a mess of it. Short delivery on off, Paul gets into a good position and pulls it in the air. Nazmul was late to pick it, misjudges and in the end, sticks his right hand only to fluff the opportunity. Rahim is fuming! Drama, drama
Rubel to K Paul, no run, pounds it short, too pacy and Paul attempts to pull. Comes up with zilch
