Skipper Mashrafe receives the trophy and the rest swarm around in a giffy to pose for the cameras. Jubilant scenes as Bangladesh celebrate yet another series victory at home. The T20Is are starting on Monday and it's a format Windies would fancy; expect a more competitive action during the 3-match T20I series starting 17th of December. Until next time, cheers and goodbye!!
Mashrafe Mortaza, winning skipper: It was a good match, Hope played an excellent innings. Today was also a good match and toss pretty much was an advantage. Our bowlers have been very good. Spinners have been tight and pacers also stuck to the plans. Mushy batted so well, Shakib batted and bowled well and Soumya also doing well. Overall, it's going alright for us. Windies are the World champions in T20Is and it won't be easy, hopefully our boys will do well against them.
Shai Hope, Man of the series: Still a bit dizzy to be honest, but I've hung in there. Obviously wanted my team to get over the line, but very unfortunate for the guys to not take it till the end and hopefully we will learn from our mistakes.
Mehidy Hasan, Man of the Match: I'm really happy for our bowling. The wicket was turning a bit and I'm happy with the wickets I got. When Hetmyer came in, Mushy asked me to bowl and I'm really happy that I got him again in this series. If we step up being the junior players, it will be easy to win and we will continue to be at our best.
Rovman Powell, losing captain: We just thought we wanted an extra spinner, very unfortunate for Oshane to miss out. Hope deserves a lot of credit, we bounced back after the Test series but there's a lot of work to be done. Have to go back to nets and continue to work hard. It's a beautiful venue and the facilities are fantastic
18:52 local: At no stage did Windies looked like bossing the game. The hosts have been all over them since the start and unfortunately, the decider rather ended in a tame fashion with Bangladesh making a merry of Windies' 198. Shai Hope didn't take field in the second innings due to the dizziness he suffered towards the end of the first innings and to aggravate matters for the Windies, Kemar Roach left the field with a leg injury just 5 overs into the chase. Powell tried all the options he had, but the Tamim-Sarkar 131-run stand for the second wicket sealed the deal and ensured the momentum never went out of their grasp. Presentations imminent...
Powell to Tamim, FOUR, slices the drive past the diving short third to his right and that's that. Bangladesh seal the 3-match ODI series 2-1. 18th successive series loss for the Windies in ODIs
