So, after getting smashed in the first T20, Bangladesh have stormed back today at their very own fortress, Shere Bangla National Stadium. And that sets up this series beautifully with one match to go. Join us on Saturday for the final match, it promises to be a tasty encounter. Until then, this is Varun Dixit signing off on behalf off Ramakrishnan, Akshay and Sultan.
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh skipper, Man of the Match): "If you want to win a T20 game you need to keep the momentum going, be it with the ball or bat. Luckily we got the momentum early and we continued with it to post in excess of 200 on that wicket and it wasn't an easy pitch to bowl as well. It was a team effort in the end. Liton played some brilliant shots, the way Mahmudullah finished the game. With the ball I thought Mehidy bowled really well with the dew around. We know we are up against the world champions. They know the T20 format better than anyone in the world. Our boys know exactly what they need to do and we are up for the challenge."
Carlos Brathwaite (Windies skipper): "We didn't get it right in the first six overs, so we were always chasing, but credit to Bangladesh for playing well. We didn't bowl the way we wanted to. Maybe 10-15 runs short would have been fine on this pitch. We had an off day on the field today, but we did well in the last game. So we would like to bring our A game next time around and win the series 2-1. We lost wickets at key intervals, but we always wanted to express ourselves and that is where the learning happens. Yes we lost today, but credit should go to the batsmen for the intent they showed from ball one."
Bangladesh keep the series alive with a wonderful show. It's 1-1 with a game to go. They definitely were the better side tonight. Showed excellent character to post 211 - their highest total batting first in T20Is. Liton Dos lit Dhaka with his 34-ball 60 and then Shakib and Mahmudullah took over to finish strongly. In response, Evin Lewis was dismissed early and a bit of hope was lost when Hope fell after showing promise. Rovman Powell hung around for a not-so-smooth fifty, but Keemo Paul did threaten the hosts with 16-ball 29. Hit the ball cleanly batting with the tail, but Shakib had done enough damage with the ball too, claiming his maiden fifer in T20Is to put up a stellar all-round show. If not for him, things could well have been different.

Mustafizur to K Paul, out Caught by A Haque!! This is not hit well, deep mid-wicket steadies himself and takes it. That should be the game for the hosts. Mustafizur took pace off the ball on this short of length delivery, Paul decides to go for a maximum over the on-side fence, but ends up flicking it high in the air into the fielder's hands.
