Whew! Has it sunk in, yet? What an amazing turnaround by the Windies. They've amassed back-to-back 320 plus scores and nearly pulled off this thrill-a-minute heart-stopper; only to be denied by a couple of self-made silly errors. But let's not take the sheen away from the man of the moment. Virat Kohli. Without a shadow of doubt, the day belongs to the Indian skipper who's avidity for run-scoring keeps soaring into ineffable heights. Destiny is a mysterious force they say, but such are the mystical powers of King Kohli: they conquer, they clobber and eventually claim every batting record under the cloud. The self-mastery he exhibits each time on a cricket field is so stupendous that, it more often than not, gets overshadowed by his own batting prowess. Fastest to 10k in ODIs, is what he'll be having for breakfast tomorrow. It's that nonchalant a choice for him! Right, that is all from the city of destiny then. Can the Windies weave a plan to get past the winning line next game? In Pune, on Saturday. Join us for that to find out. Until then, this is Raju Peethala waving goodbye on behalf of Pradeep Krishnamurthy, Kumar Abhisekh Das, Hariprasad Sadanandan and Mukesh HS. **Ice pack, please**

Virat Kohli, Man of the Match(2/2): When the run rate fell under 6, I thought they are in a strong position to finish off well now but then Kuldeep got us back in the game. Chahal bowled a brilliant over and Shami, Umesh came back beautifully. And the game nicely drifted in the last 7 overs, especially in the last 5-6 overs. In the end, we had got the game but then one boundary off Umesh, off the shoe and that boundary from Rayudu just a few inches away. We all need to enjoy the game. We obviously would look at the negatives and positives. I'm sure everyone enjoyed and the Windies deserved a draw at least and I think we did well to sneak in a draw. I thought Rayudu was very professional today. I have mentioned in a press conference before that he is someone we are looking at as a permanent number four. He reads situations very well. He plays spin really well and plays fast bowling really as well. He is a smart cricketer and very aware. He is in good momentum and good form. I have been watching Shai for a while now. He played that brilliant knock against England when they were chasing in the fourth innings. Hetmyer as well, credit to him. Hats-off to their strokeplay. I want to congratulate Shai on his hundred.

Virat Kohli, Man of the Match(1/2): It was a great game of cricket, great to be part of it. Full house and credit to the West Indies team as well, they showed great heart. Specially in the second innings, when they got stuck in despite being three down. Beautiful partnership between both those guys but the way two teams played it was a fair result. Personally, I'm pretty proud of my innings and my milestone. It's something we decided pre-game, everyone wanted to bat first as it was hot and humid. But in hindsight, in big tournaments like World Cup or Champions Trophy, we might be batting first and we have to embrace every thing that comes our way. The pitch was drastically different in the first and the second innings. We were looking at 275-280 but then I got going and we got those 30-40 runs extra. We put up a challenge in front of us today and luckily we got the draw, we will take it at the end of the day.

Jason Holder: Really good game of cricket played by both teams. Congrats to Virat, played a brilliant knock and on getting to the 10000 milestone. Shai Hope is a young talent and he played a magnificent knock. Unfortunately we didn't get over the line, but still a lot of positives from this game. Also Shimron Hetmyer showed his consistency again and I felt it was a really good effort by the bowlers. My run-out and obviously Hetty was upset that he got out in a crucial stage when we had a very good chance. I said it at the start that we want one of our top four to stay there till the end, and it was very good to see Shai bat till the end. Unfortunately we didn't win the game, but like I said before there are a lot of positives. I thought it was around par (first innings total), and it's very good to see that we had that in two consistent games in a row. Proud of the way the guys played and there are a couple of areas that we could improve. Sloppy fielding is something that we need to really improve on. Obviously we could have picked a few more wickets in the middle overs. He (Obed McCoy) is one of those guys who has a lot of variations. Bowls those cutters and slower balls. Quite effective at that stage of the game and I like the way he handled himself in his maiden game. It's really good to see him come in and perform that way.

Just disappointed we didn't get the win, fought really hard throughout the game. We lost wickets at crucial stages, especially Jason. Needed to have wickets in hand and have someone finish the game. It was an even wicket, pretty similar, perhaps got better under lights with the new ball and spun for both teams. We are here to win, we didn't come to just compete. Just get bat on ball, make those ones into twos and look to see the team home (when asked about tactics for the last two overs), says a crestfallen Shai Hope

21:45 local: When India posted 321 on what seemed like a tricky pitch, everyone thought ah! Kuldeep will chew them up, Chahal might get a six-fer. All those sorts of theories, I'm sure, made rounds across most parts of the globe, but the Windies had different plans. They put up a real royal-rumble of a fight and never gave up till the last minute. It was all set up by a 143-run (off 119 balls) stand between Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer who aced the Indian spinners at will to keep the required run rate under check. And when the usual moment of panic set in, Hope stood tall like a shining light and gave his all to remain undefeated till the final delivery; towards the end, just when things swung India's way - wicket off Nurse - Hope pounced on the tiniest of hopes that India and Umesh, and perhaps Rayudu offered. The best part of the game has to be the spirit that the players displayed. Dhoni and Kohli were all smiles moments after the finish and laughed it off tapping each others shoulder.

U Yadav to Shai Hope, FOUR, it's a tie! The series is still 1-0 though. The crowd can't fathom what just happened. The Indian players gather around to appreciate and applaud this marvellous, marvellous effort from Hope. This is how the Windies got there: Full and wide, Hope goes deep inside the crease and slices the drive behind point, Rayudu covered good ground to his right from third man and although he threw himself to prevent the boundary, the power and fizz on the shot defeated him, just kissed his palms and flew away. What.A.Game.Of.Cricket.

U Yadav to Nurse, out Caught by Rayudu!! Rushikonda beach, Jagadamba centre and MVP colony, the roar can be heard all over Vizag. They're going all bonkers and it's an Andhra man that has taken a pressure catch. A low full toss outside off and Nurse tried to be cheeky by getting across and playing a paddle scoop; not to be. Gets a thick top-edge and Rayudu holds onto that at third man. Could have easily popped up, but he held his calm in the end. Nurse c Rayudu b U Yadav 5(7)

U Yadav to Nurse, leg byes, FOUR, Kohli is livid, he doesn't know where to throw his emotions. A fiery full toss down leg, Nurse had made room and he missed his swing by a country mile. It clonks the pad and scorches past a helpless MSD to his right
