As it turns out, Pakistan register a comfortable victory and take 1-0 lead in the three-match series. A triumphant return of International cricket to Karachi, much to the delight of the home fans. With the second T20I scheduled tomorrow, there will not be much time for the teams to rest. However, there will be a lot for Windies to think about and discuss. Time to conclude the proceedings for today. Do join us back tomorrow. Until then, it's a goodbye from us here. Goodnight and cya!
Jason Mohammed, Windies captain: I think it was a tough day. We gave away too many runs from the last two overs. Our batting was bad too. It looked like a good wicket, we didn't have any plans. We have to stay positive and wish to comeback strong. We will try and do our basics right for the next two matches. It's nice being here and it feels good.
Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan captain: Fakhar Zaman started well for us, Shoaib and Talat finished off really well for us as well. We always try to give our best in every match. I think we are a strong team, and we never relax. We love to give our best in all departments of the game. Hopefully Shaheen Afridi will also get a chance later on in the series. The next game is really important, so we need to put everything into winning it, but if we can accommodate Shaheen, we will do our best to do so.

Memento presented to the mayor of Karachi.
Hussain Talat, Man of the Match: Really happy. I would like to thank the people who helped me until here. Thought about this moment for very long, almost 2 years, and I just backed my own game; played the only way I know how. Worked on high-performance training, and batting in the recent past and the PSL helped me out a lot too. Glad to see it all work out today...
The chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi, has a few words to say on the occasion of the return of international cricket to Pakistan.
23:05 Local Time: A tame surrender from the Windies. The innings never got going. Chadwick Walton sparked off by striking a six off the first ball but then got carried away and Nawaz with his bagful of tricks removed him off the fourth ball. Things got much worse for Windies as a quintessential collapse followed and Pakistan bowlers rolled over their top-order leaving them reeling at 15/4. The visitors just couldn't recover from the scars and it was a mere formality for Pakistan from there in wiping off the innings. Just three batsmen into double figures sums up the sorry tale of Windies' batting. Presentations imminent, stick around.
Talat to Badree, out Caught by Shoaib Malik!! Talat is having a dream evening. And is that the end of the innings? Yup, they are shaking hands because Veerasammy Permaul won't come out to bat. This is the lowest score for Windies in T20Is. It was fitting that Talat finished things off. Banged in short, Badree went for the pull and ends up splicing it up in the air towards mid-wicket. Malik backtracks, keeps his eyes on the ball and holds onto it. Badree c Shoaib Malik b Talat 7(5) [6s-1]
Talat to Badree, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Talat to Keemo Paul, 1 run, pacy short ball that gets big on Paul, flat-batted down to long-on
Talat to Badree, 1 run, fuller and straightening off the deck, Badree gropes and runs it off the outer half to third man
By the way, that six was Badree's first six in International cricket.
Talat to Keemo Paul, 1 run, flicked away behind square on the leg-side

Shoaib Malik to Badree, SIX, Badree connects and clears long-on. Badree moves across, finds the meat and launches it over long-on
Shoaib Malik to Badree, no run, "Howzaat" screams Sarfraz but the impact was well outside off. Malik too shakes his head. Darted full outside off, Badree walked across and missed it completely. Pinged low on the pad
Shoaib Malik to Badree, no run, Badree negates the hat-trick ball. Flat and quick outside off, Badree stands tall and punches it to cover
Samuel Badree, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Attacking field for Malik now. Four men lurking around the bat.
