Joy and jubilation for the Pakistan team and the crowd. It's been a fantastic series for them. They've been clinically dominant throughout - and that, my friends is the face of the new Pakistan! The series finished just as the Windies were turning up, but they're going to have to take the flight back now. On that note, it's Rishi Roy, taking your leave at midnight IST, on behalf of Raju Peethala, Akshay Maanay and Vinod. It's been a pleasure bringing you this series. Keep tuning in to Cricbuzz for more cricketing action from around the globe. Sayonara!

And the Jubilee Insurance trophy has been handed over to Sarfaz Ahmed by the PCB chairman, and Sarfraz's kid joins him in the celebrations. The team gathers around the CHAMPIONS board and scream their lungs out at the camera (You know you can't be heard on the photos, right?).

Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan captain: "When I started my captaincy, I discussed with Mickey Arthur about consistency and we are giving the youth a lot of chances because of which we are consistently turning out good performances. Even today, we had already won the series, but winning today strengthened our grip on the No. 1 spot. The guys need to be given confidence, and the performances will keep coming. The way the public is backing the side, we can beat the best sides in the world. We shuffled around our attack today, and we were fearless about testing our bench strength, which has really shown the kind of atmosphere of the team. Karachi has been fantastic. They have won our hearts. They deserve to be appreciated. The groundstaff and curator must be appreciated for turning out three pitches in three days, and the security must be thanked as well. A lot of people must've been hurt because of us too, and I apologise to them. I thank everyone for turning out tonight..."

The Pakistan side receive their winning medals. Reminder: they're the number 1 T20 side in the world.

Jason Mohammad, Windies captain: "Today was our best game by far and we have improved through the series. Lots of young guys in the side, including myself, and it was a fantastic experience playing in Pakistan over the last three days."

The Windies players receiving runners-up medals. This is highly unusual, but a nice gesture nonetheless. Chants of West Indies in the crowd!

Babar Azam, Man of the Series: Receives a motorbike! Fancy stuff! "My hopes of batting well throughout the series and winning MoS were answered by the Almighty. We talk to the seniors, like Shoaib Malik, who guides me a lot during pressure situations. I keep his advice in mind all the time. I can't take the bike to Lahore, since I don't have a license (laughs)."

Fakhar Zaman, Man of the Match: "I keep trying, and follow the plan from the captain and coach. I had a rush of blood in the first match, and I got run-out in the process. Don't have a habit of taking singles (laughs), hence the abominable run-out record. I've never seen such an atmosphere like the Pakistan dressing room. The group of youngsters make us feel like we are at home. We are always ready for the fitness test, so come what may, we are ready..."

Najam Sethi, PCB chairman: "We're extremely thankful to the crowd. We are in love with you! The way you've stood beside us for three days, and shown your support, we thank you. We would also like to thank the Windies for touring Pakistan under these circumstances. And congratulations Pakistan, you truly are World Champions. We would like to thank the security as well, without whom, this could not have happened. This time next year, the stadiums will be ready, and Karachi and Lahore will be the hubs of Pakistan cricket next year. Thank you so much..."

Hussain Talat: "Would like to thank those who have helped me through the ranks. I wanted to play with an open heart. Lots of players have come and gone, and I want to stay here. PSL has helped me a lot. I remember the days when India came here to play, and England came as well, so I'm really thankful that I got to debut in Pakistan. Thanks to the PCB. I never thought I would make it this far, so I would like to thank the almighty, who has been kind. I have never bowled regularly, but I have been practising regularly, especially the variations. I'm happy to bat at any position fit for the team since I have batted in most positions in the past. Anything that helps the team."

Ugh, far too many cameras! Just enjoy the moment you millenials :(. Anyway, whatever gives you joy! Lap of honour 2.0 has begun I think. Oh, Hasan Ali is back to his teens - dancing around ditzily on the stage. And the one man, who actually is in his teens, Shaheen, seems much more composed. Introvert, are ya? Same here :).

A cleansweeep, then, for Pakistan, and they take a lap of honour to thank the Karachi crowd for turning up in such large numbers. Hasan Ali does his trademark wicket celebration for the crowd, and it's an emotional moment for this generation of Pakistani cricketers that has rarely had the privilege of playing cricket in front of their home crowd. Ahmed Shehzad has been given the microphone and he's being rather goofy. It's all hunky-dory out at the center right now. Great scenes out there...

22:45 Local Time, 23:15 IST: So there we go! Windies started off really low. Lower than rock bottom. And they improved during the course of the series, and competed quite well today. Nevertheless, despite a decent batting performance (Thanks to Fletcher's 52 and Ramdin's whirlwind 42*), the bowling floundered and the Pakistan batsmen, as they have done throughout the series, spanked them all around the park, starting with Fakhar Zaman (40 off 17), and finishing off with these two young gentlemen with relieved faces running back to the dressing room.
