A first Test win for Bangladesh in 15 months. They had lost 6 on the trot and needed something to go their way especially for the new coaching staff. And it is the experienced guys who put their hands up and were well backed by the youngsters. Zimbabwe did miss their regular skipper Sean Williams - with bat and ball - but they could have given a better account of themselves with the bat. They will have a chance to correct their mistakes in the white-ball format as the ODI series starts on Sunday (March 1). Do tune in to that. Until next time, goodbye and take care..

Mominul Haque | Bangladesh captain: I don't think it is a difficult start to my captaincy career. Yes, we have to win more matches and I am happy with the way we played in this game. Everyone has got confidence from this win. Nayeem is doing very well and even Shanto but at the end it is all about team performance. I try to put up a big score and happy to contribute to the team. We also hope to win the ODI series and good luck to the boys.

Mushfiqur Rahim | Man of the Match: We badly needed a win as a team. We haven't played as a team in the last 5-6 Tests. The bowlers set it up by dismising them for 260 and then the openers gave us a good start. When someone is set and is playing a long innings it makes it easy for the new batsman coming in. Mominul batted really well and it was our plan to convert a start into a big score. We played well in all three departments and that should give us confidence going into the next Test but we have a white-ball series before that and all the boys are eager to do well.

Craig Ervine | Zimbabwe captain: It was nice to get some runs in the game but it was one of those disappointing games that we have to put behind us. We probably just did not kick on from the start and we definitely needed more than 260 in the first innings. We have come here in the past and it has been a lot tougher than this, our bowlers did not hit the right areas for a consistent period of time. We are getting into good positions, one of the set batsman gets out and we lose our momentum. We haven't played white-ball cricket in the recent past and are looking forward to it.

14:00 Local Time, 08:00 GMT, 13:30 IST: Zimbabwe won the all important toss but did not capitalize as they were bundled out for 265 with stand-in skipper Craig Ervine top scoring with 107. Bangladesh, on the other hand, made full use of a good batting surface as Mominul and Rahim feasted on an inexperienced attack to record a 222-run stand for the fourth wicket. The duo got to their respective landmarks and Bangladesh declared with a lead of 295. Zimbabwe had an arduous task of batting out almost two days and they were not up for it. Nayeem started Zimbabwe's second innings with a couple of wickets in the first over and he finished with a 9-wicket haul in the Test and was well backed up by Taijul and Abu Jayed. Hang around for the presentations..

Taijul Islam to Tshuma, out Lbw!! Bangladesh win by an innings and 106 runs. Handshakes all round as some of the Bangladeshi players collect stumps as a souvenir. The frustrating last wicket resistance is brought to an end by Taijul's arm ball. Tshuma did not pick it as he planted his front foot forward and played all round it, the ball beat the inside edge and struck him flush in front of the stumps. Umpire Paul Reiffel had his finger up in a flash and Tshuma did not want to let the review go to waste, he tried his luck and came out second best. Tshuma lbw b Taijul Islam 3(26)

Taijul Islam to Tshuma, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!

Zimbabwe review: Tshuma has been given out LBW. He first looks towards the heavens before deciding to challenge the decision. Fair delivery. Looks like there's no inside edge. Yup, flat line on the UltraEdge. Ball-tracking shows it to be hitting leg-stump - three reds. OUT!
