Sri Lanka can breathe for now. They were under the pump for most parts of the game. Zimbabwe with their limited experience pushed them to the limit. However, the hosts need to regroup as a formidable Indian team will hit their shores in just over a week's time. And to match the number one side in the world, Chandimal and Co. have to be at their best. That's all from this game. Plenty of cricket on at the moment. Switch tabs and catch the semifinal of the Women's World Cup. Goodbye!
Dinesh Chandimal: It's been a really good five days. Credit goes to all the players, they stuck to their plans and gave it their best. It is always tough when you are batting in the fourth innings, but all the batters stuck to their game plan, credit goes to Asela and Dickwella, they played some really good cricket. It is always a challenge to captain the side. The India series is going to be a tough challenge for us and hopefully the guys will do their best.
Graeme Cremer: Bit disappointing. Credit to Sri Lanka to chase 380 on a day five pitch, it is pretty special. Credit to our guys as well, we were put under pressure in both innings early on, especially by Herath. The guys fought and pushed Sri Lanka till the last afternoon. The guys have not played enough Test cricket, so it is hard to make decisions. We have learned a lot from just this one Test match. But proud of the boys. The ODI series is a high point and we brought that confidence into this Test and it gave us the belief that we can push big teams. Everything has been amazing from the people at the hotel, to fans and the Sri Lankan team. It is one of my favourite places to visit.
Rangana Herath, Man of the Series: I think more than that including first class cricket (23000 balls bowled in Tests). I know that I have bowled a lot of overs. When you enjoy playing cricket, it doesn't matter. Actually, I knew that and it is good to go past those legends (Waqar Younis, Malcolm Marshall and Ian Botham). All in all it was a very good Test match. Zimbabwe played really well, especially Ervine and Raza, put our bowlers off with sweeps and reverse sweeps. Our batsmen played better than them, that's why I am here. Looking forward to the India series.
Asela Gunaratne is the Man of the Match. Speaking in Sinhalese, he thanked the crowd for all the support, said he was happy to have contributed to the victory despite battling a hamstring injury.
For the hosts, it's a moment to savour - Chandimal's first Test has ended on the right note, they can now look forward to the India series with more confidence. They have plenty of issues that will need to be addressed. The bowling rests heavily on the shoulders of 39-year old Rangana Herath. Most of the batsmen got starts, but none could convert it into big knocks, Asela Gunaratne's hamstring injury will worry them - especially with the next match barely a week away. For now though, they can celebrate a record Test chase at home.
Zimbabwe can be proud of their efforts as they get into a huddle. They have shown great heart, competed brilliantly and at many times, had the edge over the hosts. But the lack of experience at times let them down. Errors crept into their game, what if the third umpire decision off Dickwella's stumping gone in favour of them? If only Chakabva could take at least one or two of his chances, if only Cremer had more support. A lots of ifs and buts, but the hosts will be relieved at having escaped further humiliation, especially after having lost the preceding ODI series.
Sean Williams to Dilruwan Perera, FOUR, Sri Lanka complete the record chase - the highest successful fourth innings chase at home and in the sub-continent as well, not to forget in Asia as well. Coming to the ball, this was tossed up just outside off, Dilruwan leans forward and drives it through cover, beats the fielder and rolls away to the fence
Sean Williams to Dilruwan Perera, no run, looks like Dilruwan wants Gunaratne to hit the winning runs, flighted delivery on the stumps, Dilruwan gets forward and blocks
Sean Williams to Dilruwan Perera, no run, flighted delivery on Dilruwan's pads, he's happy to pad it away
Sean Williams to Dilruwan Perera, no run, tossed up well outside leg, Dilruwan was looking to sweep and missed, not called as a wide
Sean Williams to Gunaratne, 1 run, flatter and on the stumps, pulled away to deep mid-wicket. Scores are level
Sean Williams to Gunaratne, wide, flatter and down the leg-side. Umpire Llong too wants it to be done in a hurry, calls it as a wide

Cremer to Dilruwan Perera, FOUR, signs of a tired man, tired fingers and all for Cremer. Drops this one short and on the stumps, pulled away wide of mid-wicket for a boundary. That might be it for Cremer with the ball in this Test. 9 wickets in a brave brave bowling effort
Cremer to Dilruwan Perera, no run, the leg-break from Cremer, but it's on the shorter side, mistimed cut towards cover-point
Cremer to Dilruwan Perera, no run, loopy delivery on off, Dilruwan stumbles forward and blocks
Cremer to Dilruwan Perera, no run, pushed through flatter and quicker, Dilruwan backs away on the cut and misses, didn't miss the off-stump by much
Cremer to Dilruwan Perera, no run, tossed up just outside off, Dilruwan stays back and defends it towards the off-side
Back to over the wicket
