"Lifeless pitch" were the exact words from Sir Curtly Ambrose, having watched this game from close quarters across all five days, and there couldn't have been a better summation of things. Both teams will be desperate for a result in the last Test which starts Thursday at the National Cricket Stadium in Saint George Grenada. Both A(ntigua) and B(arbados) proved to be a lull and with a hope that Grenada brings some luck, this is Raju Peethala signing off alongside the cool-as-cucumber Abhinand Raghavendran and the eagle-eyed scoring expert Praveen Kumar. Feet up!!
Kraigg Brathwaite, West Indies skipper and the Player of the Match: Feeling quite good, thought England played well and I want to thank all the West Indies fans for coming up. Obviously England had a lot of fans at the venue. The plan was to play as straight as possible. We want a result in the last Test, ave to see what they produce in Grenada, let's hope it has something for the pacers. Amazing to hear that (about the record of facing most balls in a Test for West Indies), obviously put a lot of work through the years and really happy to do it in front of my home ground and my family, very thankful for that. When Jermaine came in, he had right attitude to fight, and today again Jermaine and Joshua Da Silva, we want that attitude and fight. England were good and then for us to get to 400 and show that fight till the end, It is just a start, but for us it's important to learn as quick as possible on the job.
Joe Root, England skipper: We picked up from where we finished last week. That second innings we showed a lot of aggression as a batting group, we took that here. Really pleasing to see us go and make a substantial first innings total for the first time in a long time. Hopefully we keep replicating it. (On Lawrence) He's been wonderful, he's been selfless throughout the series. He's always tried to put the team first. The way he played in the first innings was excellent. He's a very talented player, I am sure it (his maiden Test ton) won't be long. They (debutants) were brilliant, the surface hasn't been receptive for seam bowlers. The two lads have shown great commitment, great dedication, great skill levels. Great to see the delight on their faces when they picked their first wickets. It (declaration) is always a tricky one. With how small this ground is and with how strong the wind was, it always felt like couple of overs if someone comes off, you wouldn't want to give too many overs. In hindsight, you can say, we could have pulled out 10 overs earlier. Did feel like a new-ball wicket, felt like you had to make impact with that. We made three brilliant breakthroughs, just couldn't quite kick on. Credit to WI, fought very hard. Two very good Test matches, should be a brilliant final one. (Another spinner for the final Test?) We'll have to see what kind of wicket we get. Really pleasing to see Jack [Leach] play the way he has, you can see how much he's enjoying himself out there. He's bowling with great control, looking threatening all the time and looks very comfortable at this level.
This is the first time a Test ended in a draw in 11 years at this venue. Even the last drawn Test, against India in 2011, was greatly impacted by rain. So, it's such a disappointment for the fans in Barbados and the Barmy Army, of course, who had shown great energy across five days hoping for a positive outcome. England, having won the toss, tried to bat the hosts out of the game with significant contributions from the trio of Root, Stokes and Lawrence, but little did they know of what was to come on day 3 and 4. West Indies, led by a massive 183-run partnership between captain and vice-captain, grafted along, negating everything that was thrown at them. They not only batted with grit, but made sure the visitors didn't have enough time to force a collapse on a placid track. In hindsight, England will regret not reviewing Blackwood's lbw call (on 0 in the first innings) as he ended up consuming 215 balls, compiling his 3rd ton while at it. All in all, the game will be remembered for Brathwaite's marathon effort, Stokes' swashbuckling show, Lawrence's effervescence, and the ever-impressive Joe Root, of course. Presentations imminent, stick around...
17:48 local, 21:48 GMT, 03:18 IST: And that is that. Root collects his cap and immediately walks to Kraigg Brathwaite to shake hands. It's a D_____R_____A_______W. It, indeed has been that long, phewf! England got two wickets in the first half of the final session, but Joshua Da Silva showed no signs of nerves as he, in the company of skipper Brathwaite, blocked England's door of hope on their way to achieving a draw. Brathwaite faced 673 balls in this game (112.1 overs) - the most by a West Indian batter in a Test match surpassing the legendary Brian Lara's 582 against England in 2004.

Jack Leach to Kraigg Brathwaite, no run, presses forward and blocks
Jack Leach to Kraigg Brathwaite, no run, just a desperate review from England. Spun away sharply from a length and beat Brathwaite on the outside edge, he was on the prod to defend and missed it by some distance. Lost balance for a fleeting moment and England's close-in fielders went up straightaway, umpire Joel Wilson says no and the review goes in vain
