That's all from this game then. The second ODI is on Friday. Same place, same time, Do remember to tune in for that. Until next time, it's sayonara from Raju Peethala, Vineet Anantharaman and Hariprasad Sadanandan. Cheers!!

Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh skipper: No complaints, we bowled extremely well. Not just the spinners, but the pacers as well. Young Hasan was very impressive on debut too. It was very difficult to bat on because of the conditions and there was no sun throughout the game and it's just the conditions that made the wicket look difficult. Not a pitch where you can play attacking shots from the start. Felt we batted sensibly.

Shakib Al Hasan, Player of the Match: Focus was to put the ball in the right areas and let the ball do the work. I don't count all the domestic games I played, outside the dressing room people may think about it but I don't think about it. Should have finished the game tonight, but will work on it and will try to finish next time. The boys are playing afer 9 months so everyone is a little bit nervous, but this win will help and we will be more calm and prepared for the next game.

Jason Mohammed, West Indies skipper: I think it was a little disappointing. It wasn't easy to start on, but we didn't have enough guys getting partnerships and those who got starts didn't carry on. It was a great partnership between two guys (Mayers and Powell) when we were under pressure, but we needed more of that. It is a difficult place to come and play cricket in. The wicket was slow and spinning a lot. Whatever score we put on the board we try and put pressure and bowl the other team out. Akeal bowled really well. There are some positives that we can dwell on.

17:40 local: This match was all about spin and the struggles against it. Bangladesh hosted a domestic T20 cup not too long ago and the script today wasn't any different in terms of the spin-friendly conditions. West Indies had very little to fight with, but they certainly didn't make it any easy for the home side. Alzarri Joseph set the tone with a tight 8-over spell at the top and the rewards have been reaped by the spin duo of Akeal Hosein and Jason Mohammed. Hosein, in particular, had a dream debut with the ball and, if anything, expect the West Indian think-tank to beef up their spin bowling option for the rest of the series. In terms of batting, skipper Tamim missed out on a fifty after surviving a barrage of jaffas against Joseph and an un-Shakib-like innings made West Indies bowling look that much more better despite the occasional freebies. Presentations imminent, stay tuned...
